This usually add durability to the shoe.

Why would they use water soluable glue on shoes? Are they stupid?

I would like to think to keep prices low. Then people can apply accesories as needed or wanted.
ex_ sprays, grip, insoles, etc.
but if you know nothing about basketball and want the company to do it all 4 you.....
You could also buy the more expensive shoe.

Being from Oz the bball kicks are terrible here. However the last 3 I have gotten are all Adidas. 2 Roses and 1 TMac. Love all 3 and are comfy to wear and look neat. I want to change to a 4th but am not sure what to get at the moment. Was thinking about Nikes I prefer low or med tops I cant stand high tops, I prefer lows more. Open to suggestions, I usually like black, whites and even red (gotta support the bulls)

I've been relatively injury free most of my life, but this year my season's been derailed with ankle injuries - I was out several months with torn ligaments after driving and standing on someone's foot early in the year, and since I came back I've rolled the other one 3 times.

Two Thursday's ago I rolled it again from driving in and standing on someone's foot. It wasn't too bad and after a couple of days I could walk fine again.. I had a game the next day and sat out, but the Friday after I played again, only to roll it with 20 seconds of getting on the court, again landing on someone's foot, this time after going up for a rebound. Again, it's not bad, but I've learnt my lesson and am sitting out tonight (last game of the season).

Also, I've been wearing an ankle brace on the right one since the torn ligaments, and haven't had too much trouble since with it. In games I've also had that ankle taped up. Didn't do anything for the left one (the recently injured one), but after the first roll, I had it taped and I still rolled it, which I found a bit concerning. I've gotten another brace now so I have one for each ankle, though I wish I bought it sooner.

Any suggestions? I got given a range of ankle excercises, which i did do religiously for the torn one until I was 'game ready', from which point I slacked off big time, I admit. I've struggled to make time considering I'm doing my final year of school and have been pretty stressed out. I've learnt my lesson and am back on to them now, for both ankles.

Also, and thus the relevance of posting this here, do you think the shoes have much of a factor? I tore the ligaments of the right one in my 2012 Hyperdunks, and haven't worn them much since - a combination of bad karma, the narrow foot giving me occasional foot cramps and the sheer fact that my foot struggles to fit into them with the brace on. My other shoes, which I've been wearing since, are the Under Armour Micro G Torch 2. Been wearing UA's for many years and have found them to be extremely comfortable, though the downside is definitely a lack of traction. They're a wide shoe as well so they fit with the brace nicely.

So the Boost tech can be enclosed so it's not an all white bottom. Man, I hope they offer that on the Rose 5 or 5.5. Would love to have these for work, but not with the full length exposed Boost being all white.

In my experience u dont want to buy your performance shoes online. U probably wanna make sure u get the right fit and buying online is just for visuals.
Doesnt sound like you wear adidas , they are relatively inexpensive and u can can use water proofing spray to maximize durability if u are afraid they will fall apart. And if u like wearing braces , ur guy drose has a whole line custom fit for braces.

Oh yeah. Foot cramps? try an ice waterbottle under your foot.
This is a remedy for plantar fascitis . It helps subside swelling and inflammation under your foot.

Thanks, I'll give it a go.

I have bought of Eastbay recently, but I always try and try on a pair in store first if I can.

In a regimen where i shoot mostly jumpers, i played much better in my rose 2.0s than in these nike sb http://www.kicksonfire.com/2008/04/03/n ... or/#page-2

Same exact regimen for both sets but i shot much better in the roses. The nikes arent basketball persay but skateboarding shoes are quiet similar to old style basketball shoes, flatish , good grip. U can wear an old style pair of bball shoes and play ball. But i performed miserably compared to earlier in the day with the roses.

For example the promodel superstar shell toes. The original ones, i hit shots at a much higher rate than with the nike sbs i wore and the nike sbs actually have more technology and similar build. The promodels are actually prehistoric to the sbs i have discussed but i performed much better in the shell toes. The low top ones.

The D Lillard 1 features the new Damian Lillard logo which consists of his initials, "DL," fusing together to create a "0." The "0" is Lillard's number on court, which he chose to represent the letter "O" for the three places he's called home: Oakland, where he grew up, Ogden, where he attended Weber State University, and current home state Oregon. Affixed to the left side of the logo is a wing comprised of three stripes, a nod to the nickname of his group of closest friends and family, the "Fly Guyz."

"We're inspired by Damian's elite work ethic and dedication to the game so we designed every aspect of this shoe to compliment Dame's play on the court," said Robbie Fuller, Basketball Design Director. "We're lucky that Dame lives in Portland and is able to talk with us all the time. We can bounce ideas off him and really see what he's interested in and what he wants in his footwear. When it came time to design the D Lillard 1 we were able to deliver a shoe that really speaks to him as a player and person."

To compliment Damian's fast, confident and complete game, the D Lillard 1 midsole features full length adiprene+ cushioning for enhanced responsiveness and superior heel to toe transition. Lillard's versatile style of play is supported by a TECHFIT tongue and inner booty that provide heightened comfort and fit. The D Lillard 1 features a new low-cut, yet stable design, allowing for optimal mobility, comfort and versatility on the court.

In addition to performance elements, the D Lillard 1 features details reflective of his personality and style. These details include the Damian Lillard logo featured prominently on the heel of the left shoe, while "Dame" is written across the tongue of the right shoe. The insole of each shoe features a unique rap lyric written by Lillard that relates to each colorway. The lyrics featured on the shoes tie to Lillard's social media freestyle rap challenge, @4BarFriday. The D Lillard 1 is finished with premium nubuck and leather textures for a sophisticated look and plush fit.

The D Lillard 1 launches at adidas and Foot Locker on February 6 for $105 in three different colorways. Additional colorways will launch throughout the year.
