Monroe is 25 x the player & fit the ghost of Amare is right now. You're light years better than this.

& nothing in the last 2 years says Amare is going to be any different than what he's been.

The only player the Knicks are interested in is Monroe.

I can see the headline now... "Pistons coach has heart attack on sideline"

Fine. Monroe and Jennings for Hardaway, Amare, and a draft pick.

This was actually assuming Monroe would be gone after next year and Amare would be a much better fit with Drummond, much better.

A ton better

So now the ghost of Amare is a better fit than Monroe? Amare who has a career assist rate of barely 1 per game, Amare who's athleticism is non existent, Amare who is 11 years older than Drummond, Amare who's defense makes Monroe's look like Ben Wallace, Amare who hasn't played more than 23 mins per game in the last 2 years.

lol

For one year he's a much better fit mostly because he can shoot which makes him similar to what we need at the position long term. I also expect him to have a very good year and play 25-30mpg.

If Amare's health could be guaranteed, and he was capable of playing starter minutes 75+ games a season still, I would love to have him next to Drummond. I would gladly give up Monroe for him. :droop: The thought of a healthy Amare next to Drummond makes me drool.

I just don't anticipate it'll happen. Something about him leaving Phoenix, one of the best teams for broken down players, just gives me the impression that his health problems are unfixable.

Conversation starter
Add Dinwiddie and its a deal. Damn I'm better than Phil :D
Seriously though that would work for me. Can always dump that bum Jennings on the Kings. I'd throw in a little more if we could to make it worth more to you. Prignoni Outlaw Thanasis maybe Smith Dalembert second rounders cash Isiah Thomas :D

really?!?! wow thanks!

...there's not a single player on the Knicks' roster who's value comes close to Monroe's other than Melo, and I wouldn't even touch him with that contract...

and devaluing Jennings like that is stupid. he's a talented pg on a 2-year deal who's about to have the best coach of his career, no chance he's dumped without SVG attempting to get thru to him.

Didn't mean any disrespect but like you said he's young on a max two year deal and you want to upgrade at his position.
Your team would trade him as a dump so to me he has no value.

Jennings is only making $8M per over the next two years, not sure where you got the information he was making the max but I would gladly dump him for cap space.

You are right and I certainly take him if it meant getting Monroe
But I would still look to move his deal upon getting Monroe. Just not a good fit for New York. Dinwiddie on the other hand is very intriguing and would love to somehow get him also.
