We'll win enough games to all but assure Phoenix gets our pick, but lose enough to miss the playoffs comfortably. I'll say 43-39.

Can't wait. :banghead:

This is another reason why the Boozer acquisition perturbs me to no end. At least I had 30+mpg of Randle to look forward to. Mitch stole that from me (us). :(

So you are predicting on a 12 win differential and adding a 6 win handicap to it over an 82 game schedule. That means we might end up in the lottery or make the playoffs! Don't go near Vegas Sherlock!

35+47=82.

I'm not sure if you understood what I wrote there.

I honestly think we can make the playoffs.. If Kobe is still playing close enough to his 12-13 level that we can't tell the difference, he's still good enough to get us into the playoffs.. This supporting cast is legit if they can stay healthy. I'm pretty confident in what we'll get from Lin/Young/Hill/Boozer/Davis.. & just from that alone + Kobe I think we have a shot at the playoffs, if Randle & Clarkson end up being good who knows we could go as high as the 5 seed, but there are alot of tough teams, if we get some bad luck with injuries again we'll be on the outside looking in.

Don't think he meant 35 to 47 wins. He meant a 35w - 47L record with a possibility it's as low as 32 wins and as high as 38 wins.

50-32 not bad but us being Lakers fans, its not what we are used too. That's only if Kobe plays 70+ games, and the bench can keep us in games while the starters are out. I know I'm optimistic as shtt but idc lol.

A lot of ifs. But with the bad luck these past two seasons some luck has to return to purple and gold...at least health wise.

Randle needs to be ROY and Boozer needs to have his best season in years for this team to make the 4th seed.

I think Boozer actually will have his best season in years. Lin, Nash, and Kobe are all excellent at running the PNR, and that's where Boozer really shines. With Rose being out in Chicago I don't think they were really running a ton of PNR plays (I could be wrong -- only watched a handful of games and they seemed to be posting him up a lot), so I'd expect for his scoring and efficiency to rise.

I'm not so much worried about his offense. He'll be fine. It's his defense that I'm more concerned with, although it's hard to tell how much we'll be hurting with Wes and Hill as his FC partners. Can't be any worse than Gasol defending 4's.

not sure abt boozer. I thought he was gonna be different as he started out strong last season but flamed out. I expect more of the same.

The key difference is that he'll be paired with some of the best PNR guards in the league.

There's no way to know for certain if that will cause a rise in Boozer's productivity, but it seems fairly reasonable since his main strength is playing the PNR.

BTW, just want to throw it out there that Boozer had the 2nd best DRB% among power forwards in the league last season, and he's traditionally been a solid rebounder. Hill is also top 20 in DRB%, and I think everyone knows he's one of the best offensive rebounders in the league.

Johnson is sub par, but Kobe balances that out somewhat since he's probably still top 5ish by position in terms of rebounding. Lin's a decent rebounder. Probably average.

Overall, I think we'll have a pretty good rebounding team. I'd also expect us to be a bit better defensively. Last season we were the 3rd worst defense in the league largely because we were the absolute worst defensive rebounding team, so that alone should improve us. If we can get our defense up to even average levels it would be a major accomplishment, and that's definitely a good starting point.

I remember him more as a pick and pop guy but he shot abysmally from mid range last season.

Houston
lost Lin, Parsons and Asik and they lost to Portland (a team w/o a bench to speak of) 7th-8th seeds

Dallas
the lost of Calderon is a bit big for them, Chandler brings that D they need behind Ellis, Parsons and Dirk. D will be this teams major issue. 7th-8th seeds

LA can get as high as 5th, but 'm gong with 6th seed, a team of players that want to play together often performs better than the part that make up the team. Davis, Randle, Hill and Boozer are a great rotation

Portland
still doesn't have a bench for a deep playoff run, Kaman and Blake are great pick ups

Warriors
getting rid of Jackson maybe the biggest mistake for the team, the players they added would've been great in his system

Grizzlies
adding Carter only made this team better....that's all
