it is easy to say, harder to execute. it all starts with the guards, and guard play is not very good. I bet the coach wants his bigmen to be involved more, but he can't do it by himself.
They barely run any plays for Jonas to even post up. If the guards couldn't manage to get him the ball in the post, I wouldn't be mad at the coach, but now they simply have like 2-3 plays the whole game where Jonas posts up.
This is exactly the case. And I'm quite worried how Raps' guards will handle it. I expect JV getting doubled even before pass going to him and if JV does not become wiser in passing of double teaming, Raps may have problems over there
It's just another step in development, right? He's shown the ability to pass the ball, just a matter of being smart 99% time. Plus, it's nice having a guy that needs a double team. If you have smart players then it's an advantage. We have enough talent and enough smarts on the team that it could be deadly to have to double Jonas. If teams double before the pass then he wouldn't even have to touch the ball and it would be effective.
Let's cross our fingers that DD starts drawing a double regularly. I'd say it will happen to him before JV but it would be nice if we had a pick your poison situation for teams to have to deal with.
I didn't get a chance to watch today's game live but I'm excited to watch tonight!
