The "first or worst" collective attitude here is a little annoying.

The way the NBA is set-up, "First or Worst" is the most logical position for most Franchises to make. For non FA destination teams, the worst thing you can do is lock into a collection of decent-above average players if your goal is to win a Title and not merely win 50 games.
Almost the only way non Destination teams can win titles is by hitting it big in the Draft by selecting MVP caliber players. If we are not title contenders, I'd much rather be awful and have a chance at the next MVP in the draft than continually be a 4-8 seed. For example, I sure as heck would rather be a Bucks or 76ers fan than a Hornets fan.
I understand the reality of the situation but I do see a problem with it. In a vacuum sure about 20 teams should tank every year.. the problem is if that happens someone is still picking 20th. And half of the top picks never amount to much anyway. Even though the cavs got LeBron they still never won a chip.
For me basketball is entertainment. I'm a dual suns and bucks fan and it was a hell of a lot more entertaining watching the suns last year than the abortion of a team the bucks through out there.
Now I'm not saying any team should make idiot win now drew Gooden moves but I don't think a Bledsoe contract really falls in that category. Sure the suns are heavy at the guard position but trades are allowed and they have assets.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.
