you should stop frequently that board. I live in Phoenix and no one thinks hell be that cheap. 4 and 56 is probably the ball park.

The way the NBA is set-up, "First or Worst" is the most logical position for most Franchises to make. For non FA destination teams, the worst thing you can do is lock into a collection of decent-above average players if your goal is to win a Title and not merely win 50 games.

Almost the only way non Destination teams can win titles is by hitting it big in the Draft by selecting MVP caliber players. If we are not title contenders, I'd much rather be awful and have a chance at the next MVP in the draft than continually be a 4-8 seed. For example, I sure as heck would rather be a Bucks or 76ers fan than a Hornets fan.

dude post where ever u want :) I wasn't trying to be a dick just saying most rational suns fans know what dragic will cost. Heck every message board has crazy irrational people, shoot some people here insist ersan had positive trade value.

I understand the reality of the situation but I do see a problem with it. In a vacuum sure about 20 teams should tank every year.. the problem is if that happens someone is still picking 20th. And half of the top picks never amount to much anyway. Even though the cavs got LeBron they still never won a chip.

For me basketball is entertainment. I'm a dual suns and bucks fan and it was a hell of a lot more entertaining watching the suns last year than the abortion of a team the bucks through out there.

Now I'm not saying any team should make idiot win now drew Gooden moves but I don't think a Bledsoe contract really falls in that category. Sure the suns are heavy at the guard position but trades are allowed and they have assets.

They're going to need those assets to unload Bledsoe in 2yrs when his knees explode.

A lot of sour grapes in this thread. While we couldn't have offered the 5th year, I think a lot of people on here would have been ecstatic if we got Bledsoe, even on the 5-70.

I'm surprised that some on here can justify 4-63, but 5-70 is that much worse. While you have that extra year risk with his injury history, the average salary is lower, and 14 mil in a new CBA could be just fine for the production he gives.

I wouldn't write off Phoenix being stuck in mediocrity before we see what they do with their guards. I had no idea they are paying Isaiah Thomas so much. And they have Ennis. A lot of PG there. They could be an attractive place for a wing player who could step in. Plus, the west is going to change in the next two years with Dirk and Duncan going out. I think the Suns can get to a 5-6 seed in the West in the next few years and see if they can get lucky and get past the second round.

I like the Suns keeping Bledsoe, Sign Zoran and resign Goran & the twins, plus TJ Warren is going to be a stud.

How many here would extend the same contract to Rubio? Some here have advocated him for the max, which I don't agree with, but I honestly don't know what fair value is for him.

I think he's overrated. So no. Bledsoe shouldn't of got that much either imo

Suns had no choice here unless they were to tear it down completely. And that's a tough sell coming off a 48 win season. They were also 28-15 with Bledsoe last year and have some nice additions so I don't think it's unrealistic for them to hit mid 50s in wins. I definitely think he's worth it if he stays healthy.

Ugly deal for Phoenix considering they are a very desirable market to play in, top 10 in my opinion.
Mil, Minn, Clev minus Lebron I understand. Won't be surprised to see him traded next summer if they resign Dragic.

Really glad we aren't the team giving him that deal (not that we could).

I don't trust him to stay healthy. I think they'll regret it.

5 years at that money for Bledsoe is real risky any way you slice it.

Phoenix's training staff probably makes the Suns the ideal place for him though so maybe this will work out for all involved.

But if they were going to fold and pay him like this it probably wasn't worth the drama all summer -- especially if he comes into camp out of shape due to fear of injury.

It's going to be interesting to see what they end up doing with Dragic?

He deserves big money and will demand it, so can the Suns really pay Dragic/Bledsoe big money, along with 7 million per for a third PG in Thomas? Not only those three, they drafted Ennis in the first round.

Granted, having a Dragic, Bledsoe, and Thomas as three guys who can all push the ball, pass, and score will cause matchup problems for opposing defenses, but it's a small backcourt. Curious to see how that all plays out come next offseason.

I still go 1 Wilt 2 Michael Kobe Top 10
Put Big Dog Robinson in Pippen's place and 23 might never win a title?

Agreed, Great trade: Knight for Ennis
Good trade: Knight for Goodwin
