"He looks really good, much better than last year. Last year he had a lot of injuries, but this year he's moving well, and in the pick-up games we've been playing he looks amazing."
Goran also went on to explain that Alex, along with Archie Goodwin, has been one of the team's biggest surprises compared to last year.
"I think Alex is really more comfortable. He's got that fire back in him, and I think he can help this team a lot this season."
Man, if what Goran says is accurate and actually translates on the court, we might be a "TJ Warren" away from being a solid 4-6 seed team THIS year. I mean, let's look at where they might 'fallout' in rankings at their positions this year (if EB stays healthy)
Dragic - Top 5
EB - Top 10
PJ - Bottom 10
Kieff - Top 12
Len - Top 15ish
Then add in IT, who would HAVE to be considered the top backup PG in the league, followed by Green, a top 5 backup and Goodwin, at SG, at worst, a developing TJ Warren and/or Marcus Morris/Gerald Green at backup SF, Marcus Morris/Toliver as backup PF, and Plumlee as a hustle guy/spark to share about equal minutes with Len at the 5.
I mean, we may not have top "All Star" talents starting, but we've got about the most talented bench AND flexibility out there.
So, here's to Len and Goodwin turning the corner this year and making significant impact to our team!
