Wait...your wife was with you at the game no?
No, went with a work buddy. Our seats in Section 213 were right in front of a bunch of Wizards Girls.
Whenever my wife and I hit a game, the moment the Wizards Girls come traipsing onto the court, I can hear my wife muttering "tramps" under her breath. (Actually, not even under her breath lately).
That being said, since she's so anti-Wizards girls, I kinda pay attention to my Ps and Qs when we're at a game together. Most of you who are Facebook friends with me know that my wife is a Federal agent who has a Glock with her all the time.
I cannot stand the Wizards girls. They dress and dance like strippers. I have no problem if you're into that, but I see no earthly reason why they should be at a basketball game. My daughter is nearly seven; she's smart and perceptive. It's basically impossible to being her to a game and for her not to get the message that the men play/do and the women dress like sluts and dance for everyone's entertainment. The Wizards wouldn't lose a dollar if the Wizards girls were de-sexified and turned into "cheerleaders" or a "drill team" the way you'd see in high school or college.
What I read into your comments is the Wizards girls are lewd, vulgar, and over the top.
Personally I am surprised more people don't protest cheerleaders and drill teams. I am surprised that feminists don't jump all over that. Their message IMO is women and girls exhibit sex appeal while guys play. It's been that way since at least the 70s and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Even my school's HS cheer squad were more than a little revealing.
fish, a lot of people want to see risqué entertainment. I empathize with you as a parent. I think, however, our culture is eroding into hedonism. They will sex it up more before they de-sexify.
