Yeah, it's like the reliability of polling in 90210.

Raptors have no answer for TEMPLE!!!!!!!!! He'll be feasting on Raptacos while the tinysaurs trip over their own sign.

We got rid of the 3-d baseline logo 8-)

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

That logo really did look like a tripping hazard.

Good. I hated that thing. Almost seems illegal.

NBA needs to have some perimeters to the court design. If that was a loop hole or if the Raps just changed it on their own, either way its good.

Now if we can just get MIA to stop pumping in fan noise LOL

I expect to win. I think we are a better team than last year even with the injuries and I also think we are similar to last year in that we are a better road team than home team. I still think there is a weird quiet vibe at the Verizon and on the road we are more amped up and focused. Add to that I think our players are up for this matchup and we added Pierce who hates the Raps even more than our guys do. Should be fun but I expect either a win or a very tough scrap down to the end. Statement game for 1st in the East

That said, hope your team makes things interesting tomorrow night! But with a bench like that, chances are that won't happen.

Lol even with the way the poll is skewed in the Raps favor the pole still reflects well for DC. They have a whole country voting on their behalf and we have just our ONE city. ***Deleted. Let's keep the trolling and insults in the trolling thread. -nate33 ***

Dudes, take this to the trolling thread so the game thread can be basketball. When I get home, I may move this convo there, in case you're looking for it later.

Toronto seems nice; I want to visit again. Maybe there should be a thread where I can say nice things about other teams.

Lowry is really good, everyone shares the ball, DeRozan is good although he has a little flop in him, and JV is good when he's not on the sauce. I will want Washington to win to prove that I'm wrong since I had the Raptors as a better team than the Wiz going into the season. Hope Washington steps it up for a win, but this may be the toughest game since Washington lost to Miami.

Brah most of Canada doesn't even watch the raptors. This is pretty much 70% people from toronto or the suburbs around the city.

70%? I'd say 90% is more likely.

More like 100%. From Shediac to Yellowknife, they spit on the Raptors. "Geez, couldn't they have picked a bigger dinosaur?" is their rallying cry. Most of them follow the Grizzlies and have developed a taste for blues and barbecue.

PS: A team that no longer exists has a nearly 25% chance of winning the game. I'm guessing the Wizards might have gotten even more Raptor votes than the Bullets. (NOTE: Wiz board members are not allowed to vote.)

PPS: I thinks the Raptors should have stuck with their original name, the CN Towers. Makes them sound tall. Some of the others that were voted on (in the largest election in the history of Canadiania): the Milkshakes, the Sweater Vests, the Hall Passes, and the Clean Whistles. Milkshakes would have made for some great headlines ("Shakes turn straw into gold," etc.) and it just sounds like good, clean, family entertainment. Maybe the Wizards can grab it for our annual name change.

Lol now who's being hyperbolic. Post-apocalyptic? Here in DC we have other things to do than talk about a basketball game a day away. I know there not much to do up there save sledding and eating those nasty sludge-like fries.

How typically ignorant, childish, and cliche of you. A talk about basketball degenerates into cheap shots about one of the largest and most beautiful cities in North America.

Read a book.

Not to turn this into a "my city is better than yours" pissing-contest, but Toronto is bigger and more culturally diverse than DC.

These are quantifiable facts. I have also never been "sledding "in my life, as such an activity is hard to do in a major Metropolitan city such as my Toronto.

People like you make Americans look bad.

Oh my, it was all in good fun I didn't mean it whole-heartedly. Just a little friendly ribbing from an opposing basketball fan. I actually happen to have a very high opinion of many places I have been in Canada, lighten up a little. Toronto is great, I was joshing you, mountie.

The only player on this team that really worries me is Paul Pierce. That guy might as well be an assassin.
