They have a whole country voting on their behalf and we have just our ONE city. Oh Extinctor fans, don't have such a bad taste about 2/3 of your countries landmass being an ice sheet, you still have Vancouver.

Brah most of Canada doesn't even watch the raptors. This is pretty much 70% people from toronto or the suburbs around the city.
70%? I'd say 90% is more likely.
More like 100%. From Shediac to Yellowknife, they spit on the Raptors. "Geez, couldn't they have picked a bigger dinosaur?" is their rallying cry. Most of them follow the Grizzlies and have developed a taste for blues and barbecue.
PS: A team that no longer exists has a nearly 25% chance of winning the game. I'm guessing the Wizards might have gotten even more Raptor votes than the Bullets. (NOTE: Wiz board members are not allowed to vote.)
PPS: I thinks the Raptors should have stuck with their original name, the CN Towers. Makes them sound tall. Some of the others that were voted on (in the largest election in the history of Canadiania): the Milkshakes, the Sweater Vests, the Hall Passes, and the Clean Whistles. Milkshakes would have made for some great headlines ("Shakes turn straw into gold," etc.) and it just sounds like good, clean, family entertainment. Maybe the Wizards can grab it for our annual name change.
