Like I mentioned on the trade board, IT for Gibson.
Gibson is one of the better leaders and one of the best defensive PFs in this league. He can also hit from mid range well which should help with spacing. Kieff could return to the 6th man position so that his defensive shortcomings won't be as obvious.
We may even be able to run with Kieff and Gibson at the 4 & 5 when playing small ball in spurts.
Chicago gets a relatively cheap solution for their pg issues.
I would do this trade, but I doubt they are interested because they have Aaron Brooks to play that role.
I think the difference between IT and Brooks is somewhat similar to IT and Ish.
IT's just a lot better than those guys especially on a team like that which can mask all his defensive shortcomings while allowing him to get buckets without having to worry about sharing the ball or anything. Butler is the only other Bull who is healthy and a scorer.
I agree with you about that, Isaiah is better than Aaron Brooks...but Thibodeau has the structure of his team very clear and he doesn't need that kind of player (small scoring PG mediocre defender) to play 30 minutes per game. In the last few years, they have had Nate Robinson, D.J. Augustin and now Aaron Brooks to play behind Hinrich (and of course Rose when healthy). They are an oriented defensive's team, so Hinrich will play a lot of minutes over any other better scorer.
They have enough with Aaron Brooks who is very capable of putting 15 points any given night in a few minutes.
Hopefully they change their mind and trade us Gibson...he is a heck of a player.
