Regardless of what Al does in the second half of the season I'm not going to forgive him for coming into this season in such terrible shape. He completely runs out of gas midway through the 3rd quarter. I also blame Clifford for refusing to sit him when he has nothing left in the tank but I still can't believe Al came into the most important season of his career nowhere near ready to play an entire NBA game. We are 17 games in and he still isn't anywhere near ready. We may have already dug ourselves too big of a hole.

He did look dead tired when he came out in the third, that's for sure.

If we end up up being a 30-35 win team I have zero interest in re-signing Al this offseason if he opts out of his contract.

I'm not here to bash the guy, I think he can be really valuable if the system as a whole is clicking, but he also doesn't elevate a team offense by himself in the way some other elite scorers can. If we don't sniff the playoffs I see no reason to pay him 10-15 million as he enters his early 30s to run it back again. Letting Al walk gives more minutes for the young guys and takes away one of Clifford's crutches. Unless things turn around quick Al is the easiest major component of our team to change this offseason, and he's the oldest major contributor on the team. Seems like a logical out if we need one.

If we're a 30 win team, we have more pressing matters than Al.

Hey Dave! Might want to run that by Howard Mass, he might be able to help you out?

Lol. I just want you to at least somewhat give Zeller a little bit of credit without bashing him. Thats all I want Dave! Lord knows you don't do it on twitter ;)

Sachmo advised me to change my settings and that seemed to work. You have to go into your profile and make it so you can't see default pics or signatures. Those are the things that slowed down my computer and I'm running on a Mac with Mountain Lion.

I've been supportive of Zeller over on Hornets Planet, he has gotten better. I definitely wish he'd just start over Marv already. I'd still trade him for a handful of apples though, just so I don't have to see his one (Please Use More Appropriate Word) pass a game.

Thats more like it BD!

For the record Id be more than happy to trade him if the price is right as well. Along with literally the rest of the roster.

Al is off to another slow start. he is scoring 19.7ppg (16.2 over past 5 games) and shooting 48% for the season, also has his lowest rebounding numbers since 2nd year and worst FT% since his 2nd year.

Past 5 games

42% shooting, 15.8pts and 9.2 rebounds, on top of his atrocious defense he can't even score well, he is having his worst season since his 2nd year

Just finished watching the Memphis game. His defense aged me about 5 years.
its infuriating knowing that no matter how close we are in the game, the last quarter will be a repetition of Al sagging off his man and allowing that totally uncontested 15 footer. see Gasol, Speights and so on.
The no hands up defense on Zac late in the shot clock had me storming off into the next room too.
If he isn't shooting at high 50's in fg he is an absolute liability.
