But…if we end up getting a good starting pitcher out of Dee, I'm fine with it. Love that little guy regardless.
Odd though. We have Kershaw, Ryu and Julio Urias coming up the ranks.
The Dodgers felt the need to get another LHP? I guess you can never have enough [LH] pitching.

finally, someone who can defend the position that wont be a total waste at the plate.

or, potentially Urias is getting packaged along with Kemp for that blockbuster trade. if so, Heaney is a clear upgrade over Urias.

nothing that I've truly paid attention to.
Yasmani Grandal.
and the Rangers were rumored to have interest.
whatever the deal, it's supposed to be a mega deal so…..who knows at this point.

never said Urias is not a special talent, but right now Heaney is better, and Major League ready, if needed. Heaney has the size to be a durable inning eater, and stuff to go with his pedigree to be a front of the rotation type in time. this guy is a sure thing.
Urias is a phenom, but very small framed 17 year old kid who hasn't pitched beyond the A ball who is a few years away. Urias could be a lefty Pedro Martinez, but also could be the next Darren Driefort. he is a high risk, high reward type.
both are great prospects, but if this deal is about choosing one over the other, vast majority of the GMs around the league would choose Heaney.
