I wonder if the Thunder could get talked into Brandon Knight & Ersan for Reggie Jackson & Mitch McGary.

That would be a dream trade for me.

All these names are interesting and we need to pursue them. But at the the end of the day, we need another top five pick. Any trades should be made with a view to improving our tank this year and maybe even next year.

None of us can predict how Jabari comes back from this. Ten Clint Capela's don't add up to one Jabari even though we also need the Clint Capela's.

I dunno, doesn't really move the needle for me and I don't want to pay Reggie Jackson. Seems like a very marginal trade to me.

I would put the odds of us getting a top 5 pick at 0%.

One, I bet we make the playoffs. Two, we already have too many wins.

I guess you could bank on a miracle and hope we move up from like the 10th-12th pick to the top 3. That doesn't seem like a very good plan though. We are kind of just **** this year.

I think the Thunder get the two better players in that deal, long and short term. Maybe I'm being naive, but I think there's a team out there that will give us a substantial asset for Brandon Knight. And ditto for not wanting to pay Jackson.

I think Jackson is the next Bledsoe-type in the league and I'd rather pay Jax over BK.

McGary is going to be a beast for a long time in this league too.

Next Bledsoe? Naw man, naw. Don't see it. I think him and Knight are pretty similar, maybe Jackson a little better but the real difference between the two is the teams they play on.

I want a PG that can pass and run an offense, a guy like a Rubio or Rondo or someone in that mold.

Brandon Knight is a much better player than Reggie Jackson.

You obviously have not read the Larry's Coordination thread. Reggie Jackson would never hurt Larry's coordination.

One thing that will hurt the bucks if they go seller mode is the sheer number of other teams looking to sell. half the east is tanking and selling and out west you have the nugets wolves and probaly even the suns looking to sell. It's gonna be a buyers market.

Jackson isn't much of an upgrade from Knight and he's older.

Would rather we just draft someone like Tyus Jones or Terry Rozier and let Knight walk.

My dream scenario trade would be moving some veteran pieces to Sacramento for Ben McLemore. The Kings owner seems hell bent on making the playoffs this year and we might be able to entice them into taking some of our vets that are playing well this season. I'd even be okay taking back some dead salary as long as we can get McLemore in the deal.

Another player I would be interested in buying low is Shabazz Napier.

And lastly, we definitely need another 1st round pick. I'd move anybody with the exception of Giannis and Parker for another 1st round pick. I'm becoming more and more intrigued with international player Kristaps Porzingas.

Any update on Inglis? JOB should be ready to go, right? I don't think you hold up any deals waiting on either guy proving they belong in the NBA, but it really would be nice to know if either belong in the NBA....

For that matter, when do Ersan & Henson get re-animated from the dead?

Sacto could be ripe for the picking. No idea what is going on over there.

i would rather have knight than reggie jackson. he's just like a worse version of knight.

i would definitely be calling sacramento also. see if you can pull off knight for mclemore.

Usually we'd assume that a high pick prospect on a rookie contract like McLemore is untouchable (he's playing great defense now), but you're right, Sacto is an absolute mess right now. I'd have to at least inquire.

Dangle Brandon Knight and the Clippers 1st for him?

McLemore or Stauskas for Knight+ works for me. Any reasonable deal jettisoning Knight works for me.

I'm not ready to call Stauskas a bust after only 25 games, but my interest in him couldn't be much lower.

McLemore has a stellar 58% TS to go along with good perimeter defense. He's a guy worth giving up Knight + assets for. Knight + assets for Stauskas would be a tremendous waste.
