I put this on the T&T board:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1364258This is my ideal rebuild, minus being able to add established veterans, which isn't happening this year.
Players out: Brandon Bass (Portland), Jeff Green (Chicago), Jameer Nelson (Houston), Phil Pressey (Portland), Marcus Thornton (Toronto), Evan Turner (Chicago), Brandan Wright (Cleveland)
Players in: Chuck Hayes, Joe Harris, C.J. McCollum, Doug McDermott, Thomas Robinson, Alexey Shved, Tony Snell and some protected picks
Post trade depth chart for Boston:
PG - Smart/McCollum/Shved
SG - Bradley/Harris/Snell
SF - McDermott/Crowder/Young/Wallace
PF - Sullinger/Olynyk
C - Zeller/Robinson/Hayes
This is my dream rebuild, minus bringing in established talented vets immediately. This team is extremely young, but talented. They save money this year, and long term the Cap stays clean. That is a must in a rebuild for me. Wallace immediately becomes the only bad contract and he would start the offseason as a big expiring deal. This also brings in talent that could be traded for established pieces when ready.
As far as on the floor, this would add shooting with McDermott and Harris. Young would also get a chance to get minutes, which is something Celtic fans are starting to clamor for. If Robinson shows anything, he could be a part of the future, along with Zeller, Sullinger and Olynyk. Most of all, I think this team could run the floor and be fun to watch. And at least there would be some hope.
