I prefer other type of assets but say yes, although papanikolau to 3 team.

We could really help a playoff team to a title if we traded a package of players for future picks. Maybe a team would overpay for the opportunity cost as the Nets did for KG and PP. Something like AB, Green and Sully to the cavs for a few 1sts, rights to swap picks, seconds, TPEs and expirings or 2 years contracts. 3 players out of our pool of tradable guys (AB, Green, Sully, Thorton, Write, Nelson, Crowder, exc) could really help a team that has stars but a thin bench. Maybe someone will over pay because I think Danny would go for it.

Could you tell us more about how Capela has performed for the Rockets so far?

On paper it looks good, but I'd like to know why Houston is so quick to give up on him in the first place.

What about an Avery Bradley for Eric Bledsoe swap? Seems like it would make a lot of sense for both teams. Boston would probably have to throw in more.

Tommy answered " I'd trade him.."

Wondering if Tommy actually meant that? .....Or if the whole deal isn't this big one act play to get Cousins traded away to Boston?

It would surprise me a lot if someone told Tommy before the game to make comments disparaging Cousins in an effort to lower his trade value.

I don't think we have to go out of our way to make Cousins look bad (on a personal behavior level not talent level, though he did lay an egg the other night)

We just got to keep collecting and improving assets so when there is a real latelt on the blaok and we want him we can get him. We found out in the summer we are not there yet was we couldn't get Love. We need to make sure that next time around we can't be out bid.

Tommy and Gorman have been around the block a time or two....and they have some unique insight on what might be in the works....

And perhaps you might catch an episode or two of the reality show Down East Dickering to see just how you can make a sweet deal to buy good stuff cheap....

You want the King's management to think you are doing them a favor by taking "the problem child" Marcus Cousins off their hands....

Capela spends the majority of his time in the d-league and he's been pretty dominant there. Morey never wanted him to come over so early (this year) but Capela wanted to play now. I'm not giving up on him and I doubt Morey has either. Capela just turned 20. Morey would trade his mother for a good deal and the Rockets are trying to win now. I wanted to measure what it would take to land Wright to appease another fanbase in a different deal. Thank you for your reply

Yeah they know whats going on to a beter degree than us, but come on, its not all one big act and they are in on it helping to get us a better deal. If anything they keep quiet. Remember when Abby Chin the reporter girl said something about the rumors and they got real quiet, like as if they knew or highly suspected but they couldn't say.

I'd see what Morey would want for D-Mo... I like the idea of having KO/DMo starting 4/5 combination.

I put this on the T&T board: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1364258

This is my ideal rebuild, minus being able to add established veterans, which isn't happening this year.

Players out: Brandon Bass (Portland), Jeff Green (Chicago), Jameer Nelson (Houston), Phil Pressey (Portland), Marcus Thornton (Toronto), Evan Turner (Chicago), Brandan Wright (Cleveland)

Players in: Chuck Hayes, Joe Harris, C.J. McCollum, Doug McDermott, Thomas Robinson, Alexey Shved, Tony Snell and some protected picks

Post trade depth chart for Boston:

PG - Smart/McCollum/Shved
SG - Bradley/Harris/Snell
SF - McDermott/Crowder/Young/Wallace
PF - Sullinger/Olynyk
C - Zeller/Robinson/Hayes

This is my dream rebuild, minus bringing in established talented vets immediately. This team is extremely young, but talented. They save money this year, and long term the Cap stays clean. That is a must in a rebuild for me. Wallace immediately becomes the only bad contract and he would start the offseason as a big expiring deal. This also brings in talent that could be traded for established pieces when ready.

As far as on the floor, this would add shooting with McDermott and Harris. Young would also get a chance to get minutes, which is something Celtic fans are starting to clamor for. If Robinson shows anything, he could be a part of the future, along with Zeller, Sullinger and Olynyk. Most of all, I think this team could run the floor and be fun to watch. And at least there would be some hope.

That would be a pretty horrid defensive big man combo. Not any better or worse than what we have now. I wouldn't bank on that for any long term success either though.

I imagine the Suns would have little interest and the Celtics would probably need to include a pick but what about something like Green and Wright for Len and Thomas?

I don't think they are trading Len.

I'd go for Bradley/Wright x Thomas/Plumlee.

I think it's a really fair trade for both sides.

They'd want something like a lotto pick or whatever for Len and I don't see Ryan trading him in his 2nd season. Just not gonna happen, too much potential there.
Good assessment:

Impossible. Maybe Bradley + assets for dragic, but only in next summer.

God, why? Because Boston is still in love with Larry Bird and overemphasizes tall white guys who can shoot? Both nice players, but as your starting front court? Gotta call bs on this.

They're not dealing Len.. Wright for IT is our starting point, maybe with a sweetener.. Green for IT favors Phoenix, except we need a guy like Thomas and they're getting a pending free agent- though Jeff could stick out his last year and wait for the TV money.. Bradley for Thomas makes no sense to me.. Bradley is a guy you look to move in a separate deal once you have Thomas in the fold..

Bledsoe's five times the player Avery is, and that will be true so long as Bledsoe stays healthy and Avery stays tightly wound.

And if Dragic leaves Phoenix, I'd be shocked if it's for Boston.. Think of all the other situations he could walk into..

Probably? :nonono: Why would Phoenix give up their star for our role player?

Yeah it would have to be something like Bledsoe for Bradley, Wright and a 1st.

I'm still just not sure Bledsoe is a guy they'd be looking to move.

I'm sure someone has posted this idea earlier in the thread, but why not send Green to OKC for Perkins and a 1st?

OKC gets Green (who already knows their system and key players) to help them make another run and gives up a 1st that is likely to be in the 20s in exchange.
Boston welcomes back old friend Perk and promptly buys him out (or agrees that he will watch from the bench all year).

Seems almost too obvious... I guess one issue may be that Ainge wants to trade Wright or Nelson as part of the package with Green or Bass and needs to wait until their restriction is up. Anyone know when that is by the way?
