“That’s my goal,” Okafor told HOOPSWORLD.”I want to be the premier big man in the league and be extremely dominant on the offensive end and on the defensive end. That’s something that I’m doing right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue that in college and, if I’m fortunate enough, in the NBA.”

“It’s a lot of fun, especially with me being so competitive and loving the game of basketball so much,” Okafor said of being able to dominate on a nightly basis. “It always feels good when you walk off the court and feel like you were definitely the most dominant player on the floor. That’s my goal every night, to be the most dominant player on both ends of the floor.”

And you know it's not all talk when you see how developed his post-game is at 19. This kid is driven and works hard. That is such a crucial component for being a star in this league. He'll be the type to read of his "weaknesses" such as defense and work hard to improve. While I wouldn't be upset at getting Towns, Okafor is the prize of this draft and we should be rooting for every Philly/Minny win and Knick loss. This'll be the first time in decades that Knicks have control of their pick and are projected to be in the top 3. We need to make the most of it.

We really should be prepared and gather as many assets as we can before draft night... Incase we don't get the number 1 pick so we can trade up for it... I would kill to have Okafor as our franchise player for years to come

Outside of Melo, Knicks doesn't have players/assets worthwhile enough for a team to do a #2-4 for #1 swap.

No one is trading Okafor, who is the undisputed #1 player in the nation. The dude is averaging 19.5/8.7 in 29 minutes on 68% FG right now. He started slow, but have scored 28, 27, 12 (Uconn went all guards), 25, 13 (foul issue), 21, 24 in the last few games.

He is putting up better PER than Davis and Cousins so far http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&year_min=&year_max=&conf_id=&school_id=&class_is_fr=Y&pos_is_g=Y&pos_is_gf=Y&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&games_type=A&qual=&c1stat=per&c1comp=gt&c1val=30&c2stat=mp_per_g&c2comp=gt&c2val=20&c3stat=&c3comp=gt&c3val=&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order_by=per

:o Good gawd. if the rim was on top of the backboard, he wouldn't have a problem dunking it.

Yeah there's very little not to like about Grant. He basically does everything and does most of them real well for a college player. Jordan Crawford with a brain, shot and defensive focus.

Calipari told Towns to start being aggressive, watch the offensive game start to "show" itself. Towns already showing the range on his shot that everyone knew he had.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Powered through contact for a deuce

Steps out to the 3 and drains it

Half spin in the paint to a left hand hook

Impressive to say the least.

It's going to be like a Anthony Davis moment, like oh damn he has a shot? Towns time with the DR team and the Bahamas he showed off a whole lot more than he has so far this season.

Listen I get it, Okafor has been putting a hurting on everyone so far. He's doing exactly what he needed to do to become the first overall pick. However with that being said, Okafor isn't a consolation prize in my eyes.

Just settled for a crappy stream. Ole Miss is playing them well. Kentucky looks a little sluggish tonight.

Aaron Jones with the nice jam right there. Ole Miss making a game of it, Kentucky can't afford to take them lightly. I expect Calipari to get on them at halftime.

This game is EXACTLY why I can't give any serious consideration to using a Top 5 draft pick on Cauley-Stein.

7 points 3 minutes into OT

I need more from my franchise cornerstone.

Ole Miss deserved to win this game tonight, they played harder. The Moody cramp probably took that game away from them. Kentucky survives a wild scare.

On to Nova/St Johns
