The NBA has moved on to bigs who can stretch the floor, handle the rock in traffic, and chase down shots on the other end.
Marc Gasol is a top3 Center in the game,
Okafor is a better offensive player with similar defensive ceiling.
Gasol at age 19 was a fat guy that couldnt even leave the bench for Barça.
He didnt flourish until he was 21-22 and got in shape.

at the same stage? much better, he is a better finisher too, better athlete, more explosive, stronger
Gasol improved this season but he was a poor scorer due to his limited abilities as a finisher near the basket, he got in even better shape last offseason and he is been more explosive, but he struggles to finish close to the basket.
Gasol is a better passer as of now, and he is always been a smart player, and he got length on Okafor, I think he is more agile now too, but Okafor is a much better offensive prospect than Gasol.
