Ryan Anderson is the guy that fits SAC, btw.. And NOP could use a cheap young prospect- another Sacramento cast-off like Fredette?

I think Ryno isn't a good fit in sacramento. Cousins (franchise player) needs a PF with good and regular defense. Ryno is a good fit for a SF like rudy gay because he has good defensive level and needs space to basket, but the most crucial fit is with the most important player.

Re: Trade Ideas Thread
Well, the rumor is that they want a 'stretch 4' or an 'above the rim defensive player' - hard to find both. And Cousins is already commanding so much defensive attention, Anderson's not really going to stretch the floor, he's going to get kick-outs once the defense has collapsed. Plus, they fired their defense-first coach and want to play uptempo.

Bass for Stauskas? Might not fit what the Kings are looking for.
Olynyk for Stauskas? Is OIynyk too much to give up for Stauskas on his own? Is it too early to give up on Olynyk (probably). Olynyk and two second rounders for Stauskas and a first rounder?

Why not Bass? He's not a 3-point shooter but he can consistently his from 20. And he plays defense and is a solid veteran for a team trying to make a move. Meanwhile, I'd love to get Stauskas and see if there's anything there.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Don't trade a big like Olynyk who's shown something for a 2 guard who projects as a starter at best.

I would think you'd have to at least package some kind of pick(s) w/ Bass to pry Stauskas from them. And I'd be cool with that, within reason.

Re: Trade Ideas Thread
Can anyone here give an updated scouting report on Stauskas? I know what he was in College... but are his struggles in the NBA due solely to not getting enough minutes/needs time to develop... or is he going to be like Fredette where his skills simply don't translate?
Regardless, I wouldn't give up KO. Big for unproven small = too much risk. I would be happy to do Bass, but they aren't looking for a rental... I also doubt Bass/picks interests them. They are in a hurry (which is always a mistake) to start winning. They want proven players not picks.

We would be looking at either:
Smart/Bradley/Leonard/Sully/Zeller - with Turner, Young, Crowder, KO on the bench and the Clips pick. If the Spurs don't want to pay Leonard max money, would they be interested in the cap space and top 10 pick? Add another C and I'm starting to like that team.
or
Jackson/Smart/Crowder/Sully/Zeller -team could look to move Bradley or have a very athletic 3 guard unit. For OKC, they save money and clear up the PG situation while adding a cost controlled top 10 pick.
Danny would still have all of the future picks in following years to add to these teams. Thoughts?
Ok fans strongly dislike Jackson, and a lot of people say he's over-rated, keep the pick and draft D. Russell out of Ohio st. And use the cash to sign Wesley Mathews.

He hasn't played enough to know if he can make his own shot or not.

Well then I certainly don't want to give up Kelly for him. Nor Bass and any of the good picks. Maybe Bass and one of the crappy picks... but doubt they do that... so probably not a match.

I think I already said this (sorry if I did) but you can't S&T using a pick. Free Agency is after then draft. We could trade a drafted player, if the other team wants the guy we took, but we couldn't/wouldn't draft a player FOR the other team, because we wouldn't have been able to speak with the RFA and wouldn't know if he even wanted to sign with us.

Bass/Turner or Bass for Landry/Nik help them..
Anyway, I don't know the read on Stauskas right now- my sense is that the sample size is too small, but it's not exactly a Fredette situation because he's not trying to be Pete Maravich 2.0. He just needs to hit shots and defend/dribble at a decent level.

Williams, Stauskas and Casspi and 2015 second round pick in exchange for Sullinger and Bradley works.

Sac isn't a playoff contender this season. I don't see what they would want with Bass.

I don't see what they would want with trading Stauskas now.. And Bass actually fits them extremely well on the defensive end, plus he's a mid-range shooter and an expiring they can re-up at a discount.

Even only bradley has more value than this package, and I'am not a bradley fan, don't even close.

Why not offer a late clippers pick and a 2nd rounder for MCW. He's cheap and those picks aren't really all that valuable.

Re: Trade Ideas Thread
In my opinion, Bradley isn't worth his current salary, and Ainge has a tendency to overvalue some of his players. Players, such as Bass, Green and Bradley, were overpaid. That is, the market should've dictated their worth, not Ainge. That's why I was surprised by the salary each player got. Especially, the Green and Bradley contracts.
