The irony is that we signed him because we got him at what we thought would be a valuable deal, and that worst case he would have high demand around the league and we could flip him for something.
Even with teams now suffering from starting PG injuries, he still doesn't look like a desirable asset. Compound that it's the fact that he may even cost us our star player in free agency and you have one botched FO decision.
He is a desirable asset, its just that the teams with PG injurys have other ideas. Take Detroit for instance, they dont need to go after a $7M starting caliber PG. They already had DJ Augustine (And he has been preforming GREAT in the starting 5). They just need to find a temporary back-up PG for the rest of the season.
Charlotte on the other hand is said to be looking for a more veteran approach when it comes to replacing Kemba. Ive heard names like Calderon/Nelson and others thrown around. Kemba played great for them and they love him, they arnt looking to replace him, just find a suitable temporary fill-in for the time being.
I still think IT would do great in Philly. IT is a AI clone. He is an immediate improvement over MCW, and could possibly be the leading scorer in the league, as Philly has an issue with players that can shoot or score.
Another great fit (as i have talked about many many times before) is Houston. He is the PERFECT starting PG to put next to Harden. Harden is the main ball handler and distributor, they just need IT to hit the open 3 and attack the rim when he can. It would be PERFECT.
