The irony is that we signed him because we got him at what we thought would be a valuable deal, and that worst case he would have high demand around the league and we could flip him for something.

Even with teams now suffering from starting PG injuries, he still doesn't look like a desirable asset. Compound that it's the fact that he may even cost us our star player in free agency and you have one botched FO decision.

He is a desirable asset, its just that the teams with PG injurys have other ideas. Take Detroit for instance, they dont need to go after a $7M starting caliber PG. They already had DJ Augustine (And he has been preforming GREAT in the starting 5). They just need to find a temporary back-up PG for the rest of the season.

Charlotte on the other hand is said to be looking for a more veteran approach when it comes to replacing Kemba. Ive heard names like Calderon/Nelson and others thrown around. Kemba played great for them and they love him, they arnt looking to replace him, just find a suitable temporary fill-in for the time being.

I still think IT would do great in Philly. IT is a AI clone. He is an immediate improvement over MCW, and could possibly be the leading scorer in the league, as Philly has an issue with players that can shoot or score.

Another great fit (as i have talked about many many times before) is Houston. He is the PERFECT starting PG to put next to Harden. Harden is the main ball handler and distributor, they just need IT to hit the open 3 and attack the rim when he can. It would be PERFECT.

I just don't see Philly as willing to get better players lol.

I also don't see anyone we'd want from their roster, although obviously picks would be an option there.

With Houston, Capela or Jones makes the most sense of the guys they'd be willing to move, although I think we'd want a pick also if it's just Capela. Although maybe we could throw in Plumlee to grab DMO?

If people don't want him, he must not be very desirable. Hopefully someone wants him, but we may have to end up taking a dead salary if we really want to get rid of him.

the ironic thing is, the one PG who did not really care to be here, is the one we are keeping.

It's not that IT sucks, it's just that the NBA is FULL of starting caliber or borderline starting caliber PGs.

PGs is the easiest position to play in the NBA for rookies coming in from college. If you have some talent, there's 90% chance of your skill converting in to the NBA.

If we lost Bledsoe, Ennis and Dragic and got no PGs in return, we could draft a PG in next year's draft and we wouldn't even be a bad shape.

I don't really see this. IT has shown he isn't IT when he has defers to a dominant ball-handler. He's at his best, when he's running things and players are playing to his strengths.

The fan base, who are obviously the ones in charge

Someone will bite at IT. It's just a matter of time. All-star weekend will be here soon enough and a team will have to make a panic move.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Even if he's not the primary handler with the starters, he would be when Harden's not on the court. Houston's biggest problem besides Dwight's injury issue is that there is literally nobody who can even competently create outside of Harden.

I mean, I just don't see how we couldn't at least get picks or a young player at the 4 for him from a team like Houston, who is desperate for a PG. That to me is the worst case scenario--IT to Houston for a protected 1st.

What do you mean he did not really want to be here? Because he didnt accept our extension right away? Well i guess Dragic REALLY doesnt want to be here either, as he is opting out of his current contract with us and keeps talking to every media person who will listen about how every team has a chance at him in FA.

Players I like for Goran:
Paul George
Tobias Harris
Gordon Hayward
Cousins

Players I like for IT (solo or package, somewhat obvious which is which):
Covington
Draymond Green
Luol Deng
Monroe
Sullinger
Monti
Ryan Anderson
Lance Stephenson
Any of Utah's big men

Exactly. Sure teams may want him, but if no one is willing to acquire him, then he obviously doesn't hold value.

I think he'd make sense as a 6th man on Houston - a $7m offensive spark to complement Beverley's defensive PG game. Bev is probably worth around $7m as a complementary 3D guy next to Harden so they could easily afford both to fill out the PG rotation (considering most teams spend $10+m on their PG rotation anyway).

Jones/NOP 1st (late lotto pick or non-lotto pick if they pass us up) is the least i would take from Houston.

Jones played great last season, but has missed almost all season with a weird nerve injury. Motie has stepped up in his place and played great as well, hence why Rocket fans are alright with trading Jones. Also, the addition of Josh Smith (Who also spends time at the PF spot), helps make Jones even more expendable.

I could get behind that deal.

I think Daryl Morey realizes that IT-Harden is a terrible defensive backcourt and will get abused by every single playoff team in the West especially their nemesis, the Golden State Warriors.

This is partly the reason that while Rockets fans have been rosterbating about Dragic and even Bledsoe sometimes, very few, if any, want IT.

If we trade IT and Goran still walks because he gets an absurd offer, leaves us with neither. If we keep IT, then we can't keep Goran. So that is the basis of the issue.

I think you have to trade IT!

Yes, we could possibly loose both of them, which would suck. You gave 2 scenario's but left out the 3rd, which is to keep IT and trade Dragic. You dont let him walk, you get whatever assets you can for him.

I think you have to move IT and try to re-sign Goran Dragic. Dragic is amuch better player. I think I would take an average deal for IT just to get him off the books

First order for Ryan McD is getting rid of the guy he shouldn't have signed.

Goran is not worth Paul George or Hayward or Cousins. Tobias Harris maybe. Maybe (but doubtful) if you added the lusted-after Lakers pick to a Goran trade then maybe, but I doubt any of those teams would bite.
