We have a great group of 25 and under players. We are 1 trade or home run draft pick from contention. And everyone is questioning the GM who got us there based on hypothetical situations that haven't occurred (losing Dragic b/c of IT, not being able to trade IT, Markieff continuing to rack up league leading amounts of techs, etc.). Let things play out and then judge. Because this particular GM has earned more trust in his early moves than any GM I can think of in this entire league.
Thank you
I see all the "negative" events which have been listed like PJ's DUI, Morri's problems with authority and Goran's impending FA status and I really don't think it's all that different to what many other teams go through from a season to season basis.
- Every season or two, a player gets done for DUI, they get penalised and we move on. It isn't an organisation issue, it's an individual player issue, which we've dealt with.
- Our team leading the league in T's is not new, we've been top 5 as a team in T's as far back as 2011. It's an issue that needs to be addressed but it isn't like it's something that come to fruition because of the bad locker room juju this season.
- As for Goran's impending FA status, every team with an impact player going into FA will all go through the same process. If every player resigns with their team without listening to offers, we wouldn't have free agency. Goran leaving is something to be concerned about but it isn't a problem unique to the Suns
A lot of these issues are being clumped together and made to look like there's a fundamental problem with the organisation and it just isn't the case.
