fair enough so I am guessing you do not want him to be a Hornet?

The only player I'd add to the current Hornets team without hesitation is Wiggins.
The only Golden State players I'd consider adding would be Klay Thompson and Bogut (especially if Bogut wasn't so injury-prone).

I was under the impression he fell to break his fall and protect his ankles.

You can dislike Curry but those reasons from a Harden fan...the irony could not be more clear.

Yeah man, the way he does a lot of stuff for the community and is a family man looking after his kid (soon to be kids) married to his girl that he met at church group when he was a kid. Don't even get me started on those arrogant post-game interviews where he credits his teammates and coaches.

And that mouth guard... That alone is enough is to really have hatred towards him, totally rational and warranted.

If I was giving out points for favorite I'd do it like this-
Wiggins: 50%
Pau Gasol: 10%
Butler: 5%
Harden: 5%
Others: 30%

I said he's the player I dislike more than any other, not "hate".
I could only hate someone for their off-the-court things (because basketball is never important enough to provoke "hate").
"Dislike" is directed at on-the-court things.
I deserve huge credit/props/kudos for giving Curry the MVP, I must be the most objective poster in the history of realgm.

Not really. It's a bit of both. Mostly to protect his ankles, and selling contact at times which he doesn't really get anyway compared to Crawford.

If Curry was really a flopper, you'd see it show up in every aspect of his game, like with Chris Paul or Harden. Curry actually had to consciously try to sell calls on drives more when he realized he wasn't getting to the line compared to the Hardens and Paul's, and he still doesn't really do it all that much. He's pretty much just settled for finishing.

Your singling out of Curry for flopping is really, really odd, especially considering the volume of visual and video evidence of both him and other players to compare him to.

Curry is easily the least floppy of the superstars in discussion (Harden, Lebron, and Curry.)

Man, the fact that Harden is a 5% favorite and not a -500% if you think floppers are the worst kind of players. 75% of his inside game is built entirely around flopping and playing human missile.

The worst kind of flopping is the 3-point-shooter falling down.
3-point-shooting is already soft enough without resorting to flopping.
Nothing even comes close to Curry's level of disgrace.
The lowest of the low.
But he's the most likely MVP, and that's what this thread is about, not about flopping.

Its more lopsided than when Rose won it, because Golden State is extremely superior to Cleveland.
If Cleveland's horrible defense met Golden State in the NBA Finals, it'd be an absolute blow-out.
And because Golden State is such a machine (like Nash's Phoenix was but GS is clearly winning a lot more games) I wouldn't be surprised if Curry wins the next couple of MVPs.
This season was the big opportunity for LeBron to win MVP (because the media could use the logic of "look how much Cleveland improved compared to last year") but Golden State's absolute domination makes it impossible to give the MVP to anyone but Curry.
And Curry is the player I dislike more than anyone else in the NBA btw.

Damn.

On one hand golden state is stacked, but reading the Cavs v Warriors thread it is a consensus that Cavs are more talented. Remind me why LeBron should get MVP then?

You do realize people only think the Cavs are more talented because LeBron is on the team?

^ I've never been more serious.
3-point-flopping is the thing I dislike most about the NBA, by far.
Anyway, its beside the point, because Curry is the upcoming MVP, he's the leading scorer/playmaker on a team that is dominating the West (and will continue to dominate the West next year too probably, because they are a machine and they're young).

That's pretty arbitrary for what's considered the worst flopping. I'd say throwing oneself at players without even trying to score or falling down without any contact and not even making a play would be the worst type of flopping, because it's literally not playing basketball to flop.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of Reggie Miller either?

In any case, for having a completely irrational take on the player, I'd have to say your MVP evaluation does seem all that more objective.

Apparently Golden State is stacked only when discrediting Curry's MVP contributions against Lebron and suddenly not as good when comparing them straight up.

And Curry has the better team. Once again, remind me why LeBron is the MVP?
