Link? This is news to me.

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/3468/russell-westbrook
28.3pt 6.1reb 7.4 ast 2.4stl per game in Dec for Westbrook
27.5pt 7.1reb 6.9ast 1.7stl per game is Lebron's career average (27.7 PER average)

24.9pt 6.1reb 7.6ast 2.3stl per game is Westbrook's 2014-15 average (27.6 PER)
26.2pt 5.5reb 7.4ast 1.5stl per game is Lebron's 2014-15 average (26.1 PER)

Westbrook's season PER is exactly the same as Lebron's career PER. His 2014-15 stats are almost identical to Lebron's. His PER is higher than Lebron's this season. The numbers are Lebron-like. Pretty black and white, isn't it?

OKC is done if they become a losing team (that market can't afford to have a losing team) which looks like it will happen since Westbrook or Durant (probably both) will end up leaving OKC to go play somewhere else where they will get better chance of winning a ring.

I don't see OKC getting out of the west in couple of years to win the ring and their market doesn't seem like they able to attract and afford to have one more "star" player to help out Durant and Westbrook to win it all.

He's also shooting the worst he has his entire career (an abysmal 52% TS). A major shortcoming of PER is that it rewards high volume chucking. This is a perfect example of that.

I get that. But the statement was that Westbrook is/was putting up Lebron like numbers, which he is, and you asked for an example. Volume scorers will generally have low shooting percentages unless you're MJ or a near 7' beast who can shoot 3's and drive to the hooplike KD or a lightsout 3-pt shooter like Curry. Surely you're not saying that Westbrook is not a superstar because of his lower shooting percentage? He's basically AI in a bigger, stronger package (TS of 52% ironically). Derrick Rose has a 52-53% TS for his career, peaking at 55% in his MVP season. Other top pg's: John Wall 52%, Lillard 56%, Lowry 54%, Teague 54%, Parker 55%, Kyrie 55%, Conley 53%, Walker 50%,

Here's the list of players who can match or beat Westbrook's last season numbers, using 24ppg, 5rpg, 7apg, 52% TS:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&type=per_game&per_minute_base=36&per_poss_base=100&lg_id=NBA&is_playoffs=N&year_min=&year_max=&franch_id=&season_start=1&season_end=-1&age_min=0&age_max=99&height_min=0&height_max=99&shoot_hand=&birth_country_is=Y&birth_country=&birth_state=&college_id=&is_active=&debut_yr_nba_start=&debut_yr_nba_end=&debut_yr_aba_start=&debut_yr_aba_end=&is_hof=&is_as=&as_comp=gt&as_val=&award=&pos_is_g=Y&pos_is_gf=Y&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&qual=&c1stat=pts_per_g&c1comp=gt&c1val=24&c2stat=trb_per_g&c2comp=gt&c2val=5&c3stat=ast_per_g&c3comp=gt&c3val=7&c4stat=ts_pct&c4comp=gt&c4val=52&c5stat=&c5comp=gt&c6mult=1.0&c6stat=&order_by=ws
Wilt, MJ, Lebron, Oscar, Bird, Wade, Payton...and Westbrook. Actually his current season is outpacing those stats pretty significantly. If you use 28/6/8/52%TS, Only MJ, Oscar and Lebron have managed those numbers. Lebron and MJ only managed it once in their career. So what now? Where's your argument lol.
