Westbrook's season PER is exactly the same as Lebron's career PER. His 2014-15 stats are almost identical to Lebron's. His PER is higher than Lebron's this season. The numbers are Lebron-like. Pretty black and white, isn't it?
He's also shooting the worst he has his entire career (an abysmal 52% TS). A major shortcoming of PER is that it rewards high volume chucking. This is a perfect example of that.
I get that. But the statement was that Westbrook is/was putting up Lebron like numbers, which he is, and you asked for an example. Volume scorers will generally have low shooting percentages unless you're MJ or a near 7' beast who can shoot 3's and drive to the hooplike KD or a lightsout 3-pt shooter like Curry. Surely you're not saying that Westbrook is not a superstar because of his lower shooting percentage? He's basically AI in a bigger, stronger package (TS of 52% ironically). Derrick Rose has a 52-53% TS for his career, peaking at 55% in his MVP season. Other top pg's: John Wall 52%, Lillard 56%, Lowry 54%, Teague 54%, Parker 55%, Kyrie 55%, Conley 53%, Walker 50%,
Here's the list of players who can match or beat Westbrook's last season numbers, using 24ppg, 5rpg, 7apg, 52% TS:

Actually his current season is outpacing those stats pretty significantly. If you use 28/6/8/52%TS, Only MJ, Oscar and Lebron have managed those numbers. Lebron and MJ only managed it once in their career. So what now? Where's your argument lol.
