we have a top 3 defense. of course we can win a series.
since the 11-12 mark, and as our rotations have solidified.... here are some interesting facts.
were 18-11 overall
were 6-8 against teams over .500 and have a +1.57 point diff in those games.
were 12-3 against teams under .500 and have a +7.73 point diff in those games.
heading into the break, over the last 29 games, weve been playing to a 53-54 win pace.... and since that 11-12 mark when we lost to okc... we haven't been out of a single game in the last 2 minutes. not one. worst margin was a 8 point loss.
but recently... weve even been playing better. our defense has held, our offense has improved, and we are now one of the top shooting teams in the league. we have a potential game changing star in giannis emerging. weve been shorthanded playing multiple stretches of games where guys like Jorge and job had to play major minutes because we literally didn't have bodies.
frankly a case could be made that over the last 30 games weve been the strongest team in the east outside of Atlanta. they being a team we blew out on their homecourt by 30. a team I think we match up well against. certainly a case could be made a gelling Cleveland team could pose a problem.... but our defense against their lack of it provides a wonderful opportunity to perhaps steal a game early on their homecourt and make a series with them.
bottom line is you guys have to believe. I know this team certainly does. and for the first time, in a long time, without any more injuries... I think we may have something headed into may.
