Just finished both the episodes, looks pretty cool. Even though it will never be as good as Breaking Bad Aka Best serial ever.

Yeah, Better Call Saul is killing it so far.

Disagree about Breaking Bad though, really good show but never saw the hype most get. I still think The Wire was better.

Also thoroughly enjoying the last season of Justified, god I love that show. Now I just need Vikings to come back.

My three favorite TV dramas of all-time

1. Spartacus
2. The Wire
3. Breaking Bad

All 4 seasons of Spartacus are on Netflix now. What are you guys waiting on?

I keep forgetting about it. I loved seasons 1-4 and still watch it, guess I'm just not used to it being on this time of the year.

I think seasons 1-4 of sunny is some of the best tv of all time (especially seasons 1-3 i must have watched those dvds a million times over in high school). It dipped around season 6 maybe but ever since Chardee MacDennis it has came back strong

Just finished season 4 last night and mentioned on HP that you can build a veritable dream team of hot chicks from that show alone.

so far Better Call Saul is pretty good. not great. the callbacks to BB characters seems kind of hamhanded. also Mike as the parking lot attendant is kind of insulting and halfassed. Still, I'm enjoying the depth they're giving to Bob Odenkirk, who I have loved since Mr. Show. I want more of those flash forwards like in the beginning of the first episode. Just like with Breaking Bad, the music in this show is outstanding. I'll keep watching.

The Fall, sorry, haven't read the entire thread, but that show was superb the first season and quite good the second season. Definitely worth a watch. Gillian Anderson is really really good at doing tv shows.

also I don't know if you guys caught the Cinemax (I think?) series The Knick with Clive Owen. That show is really really good. Maybe it takes an episode or two to get rolling, but I love a lot of things they're doing. Clive Owen is great, all the acting is really great really. Lots of fun turn-of-the-20th century accents. Interesting decisions with music and social issues. Great historical snapshot.

As far as sitcoms go, for me, Sunny is in the rarified air, up there with Seinfeld as the best of all time. Season 2, when Frank comes on the show is when it really started taking off for me. Seasons 2-4 are magic. Like all great sitcoms, they always take a season or two to hit their peak, hang on the the peak for a few years, then they eventually start to come back down (The Office and Parks and Rec, two examples of shows that took a season or two to find their peak, then tailed off at the end). Sunny had some down years a few years back. They kinda mailed it in that year Dee was pregnant. But I thought last year was fantastic. Some of my favorite episodes ever happened last year, especially the "Country Mac" show. I think they made a mistake when they moved the show from FX to FXX. Nobody can find FXX, so unless you have it programmed to record, you might miss it.

You aren't kidding about the dream team of hot chicks. So much eye candy on that show. Mira is my #1. Melitta #2

A ranking of the 19 hottest chicks from the show, some minor spoilers involved.

I understand what they are trying to achieve in their approach by trying to be a show that's lighter and more positive than Breaking Bad, that Jimmy/Saul being wacky is funny and a formula that works.

But I do worry whether it won't rely too much on such gimmicky scenes. I didn't particularly enjoy the montage, what seemed to go on forever, of Jimmy at the courthouse, the one that had the coffee machine in it, multiple encounters with clients, etc.

Not a fan of Mike and Saul's tirades about stickers either. It seemed okay the first time, now it's just annoying.

Will definitely watch the show and I expect it to be an easy-watch during which time flies by but I do think there's a ceiling for it.
