Still, I'm enjoying the depth they're giving to Bob Odenkirk, who I have loved since Mr. Show. I want more of those flash forwards like in the beginning of the first episode. Just like with Breaking Bad, the music in this show is outstanding. I'll keep watching.
I understand what they are trying to achieve in their approach by trying to be a show that's lighter and more positive than Breaking Bad, that Jimmy/Saul being wacky is funny and a formula that works.
But I do worry whether it won't rely too much on such gimmicky scenes. I didn't particularly enjoy the montage, what seemed to go on forever, of Jimmy at the courthouse, the one that had the coffee machine in it, multiple encounters with clients, etc.
Not a fan of Mike and Saul's tirades about stickers either. It seemed okay the first time, now it's just annoying.
Will definitely watch the show and I expect it to be an easy-watch during which time flies by but I do think there's a ceiling for it.
