Re: Trade Targets
If 5 teams are interested in Ersan I'd keep looking to see if a team will give us an expiring contract so we could add a player that might be more of an impact than Thompson, especially over the summer. If we can clear Ersan's salary we could look at making an offer on O'Quinn in FA.

That really surprises me. Stauskas has far more skill than Joe Alexander ever did. I'm not trying to overrate Stauskas, but it's hard for me to think he's going to bust. I think he could be a very good bench/rotational player and a guy that we can keep around for awhile and grow with the youth. If he can find his shot again, he would be dangerous on this team with Parker and Giannis driving and dishing to Nik and Khris on the perimeter for open threes.

Not a Stauskas fan. I'd prefer Ersan to HOU for Papanikolaou's team option contract and Capella, or Papanikolaou and the rights to Alessandro Gentile, Marko Todorovic and even Sergio Llull, who's already an experienced player at Europe's top level. The more shots like that the team takes, the better.

*Kings pulled all currently withstanding offers once they hired Karl
That makes sense. I'm not saying Stauskas is MJ, but I loved him coming out of college. And since that time, he's played inconsistent minutes for two coaches (going on three) in toxic Sacramento. I'd like to get a good look at him before I declare that he's not an NBA player. Even if, worst case, he turns out to be a D-Leaguer, you still make that deal 100 times out of 100. Unless I'm missing something, and theres a shocking amount of interest for Ersan around the NBA. In that case, I guess you have to hold out for a king's ransom.

Re: Trade Targets
So if Stauskas + Thompson for Ersan was on the table, is the rest of that deal of Collison + McLemore for Knight, Clips' 1st, 2 2nds, JOB really that implausible? I think it's more plausible from their end than ours actually because our F.O.'s apparent infatuation with Knight, unless they're blowing smoke.

In your proposed deal we're dealing the 2 best players in the deal and a 1st.

I know we would love to trade Larry, but lets be real, that is not happening unless we give up a pick and eat salary along with it.
.
Celtics fan here. We surely need a rim protector. Do you know if Ainge has inquired about Sanders?

You really think a Bucks employee would troll this board with fake trade rumors?

Re: Trade Targets
I don't think you guys realize how valuable a prospect McLemore is.
He isn't some throw-in on an Ersan or Knight deal. He's a 22 year old top 10 pick playing productive starter's minutes for a team that isn't making the playoffs this year. He's one of their lone bright spots and definitely a valued part of their core. If he were indeed on the table, there would be 12 other teams lined up with better offers than us.
Collison is also playing really well for them. Why they'd give him up for a slight upgrade in Knight on top of having to pay him in the offseason is beyond me. The Kings are dysfunctional no doubt, but I don't think they're idiots.

I'm confused lol. Has that really happened before? Does nobody around here have real information? I know BuckPack was legit but that's the only person that really comes to mind...

The guy sells books at the Bradley Center.
I find the idea hilarious that the Kings know they want to bring Karl on board for at least a week, and before Wednesday it was already a done deal, that they waited until the official announcement to pull all deals off the table. This guy is the new Joe Arrigo.

There are always guys here, and every board, claiming some kind of pseudo inside info. They throw out names and when one of those names is indeed traded they come here and fap.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That Woelfel tweet is literally probably this guy's only source. Let that tell you something. People like this jump on nuggets of likely BS info like that and then put their little spin on it. Suddenly "where there's smoke there's fire," when the smoke all traces back to one place.
That's not to say this couldn't happen. In fact, it's one of the likelier deals out there given the teams' needs and desires. That's part of what goes into this brand of attention seeking sadness.

We aren't giving up Knight in the next 10 days. The only guys I see this team trading are the Ersan's and the JOB's - the guys who are not really part of the current team fabric.

Mclemore and Collison are both better than Arsen imo.
I'd have a hard time believing Arsen for Stauskas and Thompson is realistic. But, if our apparant insider claims it was once on the table I guess I'll go along with it. Who knows what direction Karl wants to go in now, but I would bet big money they don't think they are rebuilding. In the past Karl has also had a thing for playing rookies/youngsters, and a strange infatuation with some players. Add to the mix a meddling owner with strange ideas on running/building a team and I don't think anything is impossible. If they think Arsen is a good player more power to them. I think they would be a wonderful landing spot for Knight.
If we truly are in talks with SAC I think it is criminal to not try to get Mclemore from them. Convince them that Knight is their missing piece to 8th seed glory.
