Would be sweet but I don't think anything will happen till Thursday.

Mayo and Henson would demand a fair price, I would give up Ersan for anything right now as long as we can get that roster spot opened up.

Any idea what the character issues are with Henson or I'm reading your post wrong? Legit curious.

Thanks. Makes sense. His game hasn't diversified at all and he seems allergic to conditioning.

Reggie Jackson seems like he is the older, worse version of Knight. Why would we want him?

Supposedly TOR offering IND Ross for West.

Woah that is interesting. David West is a great guy to have but he'll be 35 by next season and the Pacers won't be ready to compete again. TRoss' potential would make it worth doing for the Pacers.

What do we think we could get for Henson / Mayo / Ersan?

Could see the Kings valuing that package in particular.

I'd give up a 2nd or 2 if they just want to dump Jackson and Lamb.

My predictions for the week;

Sanders bought out 16M - stretch provision (2.2M cap hit for 7 years)
Ersan/JOB for Thompson/Stauskas happens - probably an additional asset like a 2nd to SAC
On the selling side of a win now deal that nets a 1st round draft pick next year (or absorbing salary to get the pick)

I am guessing 2 of those 3 will happen, but I think this could be the year where we nab that additional 1st from a team.

I'd give up the Clips 1st and a 2nd for Reggie Jackson and Lamb.

Reggie is a better at PnRs than Knight, pair them up
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

I'd be happy with that. Thompson is awful though.

We have like $5M in cap space with the Knight/Middleton cap holds assuming we don't clear additional salary this deadline. No matter how you slice it, realistically Jackson is a 29 game rental. I'm not giving up any first for that.

why wouldn't we be able to resign all three?

Why in the world would we sign both Jackson and Knight even if we could fit them in (we can't)?

Eh, he's extremely physical. Not particularly skilled obviously but he isn't afraid to use his body unlike most of this roster.

No to Reggie Jackson. Talented player but a guy who thinks he's a star and will dominate the ball, taking touches from Giannis/Middleton/Parker. I'd rather just keep Knight (see the sig) as he is at least a good chemistry fit.

I'd give up whatever it took to get Jackson/Lamb and more for McGary though.

Personally if we traded for Reggie I'd trade Knight, but aside from being a little undersized defensively with Knight's shooting ability off the ball why couldn't you pair them up together?

You could but it would just be crap basketball. Some think just throwing talented players on a team together will make it work but you have to consider styles of play. There is one basketball to go around. And we have two youngins who need the ball in their hands. We need to mold the offense around Giannis and Jabari - they are the franchise talents. Middleton is a perfect fit to go with them. Adding another ball dominator me-first player to another one sounds like a recipe to just waste valuable time to develop our franchise cornerstones who have shown flashes of being the types of players who can make this team a true contender.

A backcourt of Knight and Jackson dominating the ball while we wait for Giannis and Jabari to share touches every three possessions just makes no sense. Use the assets you'd use to get Jackson to get a player who is a better fit for your team.
