Knight, Middleton, Zaza and Giannis were also here before the new regime, but none of them have any bit of character issues at all.
Mayo and Henson would demand a fair price, I would give up Ersan for anything right now as long as we can get that roster spot opened up.
Any idea what the character issues are with Henson or I'm reading your post wrong? Legit curious.

Kidd would have curb stomped him.
Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Sanders bought out 16M - stretch provision (2.2M cap hit for 7 years)
Ersan/JOB for Thompson/Stauskas happens - probably an additional asset like a 2nd to SAC
On the selling side of a win now deal that nets a 1st round draft pick next year (or absorbing salary to get the pick)
I am guessing 2 of those 3 will happen, but I think this could be the year where we nab that additional 1st from a team.

Reggie is a better at PnRs than Knight, pair them up

We have like $5M in cap space with the Knight/Middleton cap holds assuming we don't clear additional salary this deadline. No matter how you slice it, realistically Jackson is a 29 game rental. I'm not giving up any first for that.

why wouldn't we be able to resign all three?

I'd be happy with that. Thompson is awful though.
