I don't see us making any significant moves. **** Sanders off, keep a roster spot open and call it a day.

If the price is Knight (no pun intended) and the Lakers intend on offering him a full max 4/$66 this summer should they not trade for him, then I'd trade him for Randle this week and figure out the rest later.

Randle is available. We can meet LAL's asking price. There are multiple teams who can as well.I think Randle to MKE is just an academic exercise, and I wouldn't entertain the idea unless Randle would be flipped for the real return.

Why would we have to be the middl man? Why wouldn't the end team just trade with the Lakers instead of having him pass through us?

My question is why would the lakers make a trade to get better? Don't they owe the pick to Suns if they fall out of the top 5?

Adding Knight to the Lakers won't make them any better. They are a quote on quote dumpster fire.

Maybe the end team can't meet what the Lakers are asking for. I don't know. What I do know is he's available and that we're one of the teams that could acquire him should we decide we want him.

Beyond that, I'd only want to do it if Randle could be flipped/packaged to acquire something the Randle package couldn't. I have zero interest in trading for Randle with the intent of keeping him.

What would we do with randle? I understand getting young talent is good, but the pf position will be Giannis and parker. Between those two the 48 minutes are taken. I doubt randle could play anything other than pf so not sure where he'd get minutes. We'd badically dereck williams him

I'm pretty sure I saw a report that chicago wouldn't trade Gibson without getting another big back.

Gibson for Mayo, 2015 mil 1st, and JOB. There, problem solved. JOB is pretty big...

hmm. JOB as gibsons replacement

6"9" same size. check
midrange jumper. check
sometimes starter. check

we just have to find tape of JOB in a empty gym on a 9 ft basket and we might be onto something

I guess if that convinces him to take less on the buyout it's worth it.

If the Lakers are planning on paying max money for Knight in free agency, trading for him and having him as an RFA would remove one bidder (themselves) from the equation. Let other teams negotiate for them and simply match any offer he signs. Anyways, I don't think Knight for under 30 games makes them all that much better.

Who is realistically in the market for Randle? Not many teams looking for a 6'9 post player coming off a season ending injury.

A skilled post player with four years left on a rookie deal? Everyone.

I'm confident a move of some type will happen. Why? Because it is the new owners first trade deadline and they will want to get their feet wet.

I don't even love Randle, but his value is going to be high.

Ehhh maybe. But his skillet doesn't really seem en vogue with where the league is going with PF these days.

I didn't really like him as a prospect and I like him less as a fit with the team we are building now.

Is there any rumours that Knight is being dangled or all wonderful speculation?

Jazz seem like a team where randle would fit next to favors and Gobert

For a top 10 pick, Randle might be the worst defender I've ever seen. That being said, wouldn't mind acquiring him just as an asset with the intention of moving him for another first round pick.
