Doesn't help for Bucks news but I heard on NBA radio that Portland and Denver are close to a Wilson Chandler trade. Portland sends Thomas Robinsons 3mil expiring and a 1st to Denver for Chandler. Atleast it's a rumor...

Just read an article on the Taj Gibson rumor and unfortunately looked at the comments. Most of them said they would only move Gibson to the Bucks if they got back Parker. When did Gibson command so much? I'm guessing it's homer fans but they actually think that's realistic. :banghead:

By this afternoon the reporters should all be back on their beats and the twitter action will start up again.

If Denver gets a late first for Wilson Chandler it makes me wonder what Jared Dudley's market might be.

He's a good player. But he turns 30 in a couple months. People have this conception that he's like 24-25 because he was a late in attending college.

If the Nuggets trade Wilson Chandler for that then the reports that him, Lawson, Faried and Nurkic were guys they really wanted to keep seem to be incorrect.

Keeping hope alive for Lawson.

Would you be willing to give our first next year and a future protected first for him tho? That's probably what it'll take. I'd do it because I think Lawson makes our team contenders this year and title contenders next year.

Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 54 hours)

I just don't see the Bucks trading Dudley. He's proving to be a real leader in that locker room. I don't think he brass is going to want to take that away from the younger guys' development

You think that's bad, wait until Parker starts balling and it starts getting closer to his free agency. There are going to be so many calls of "bringing him back home to Chicago." And it will have appeal to him.

Another reason why getting Giannis in 2013 was striking the Power Ball. Don't have to deal with the "bring him home" noise.

I just don't see us making any major changes. Ersan will probably get dealt and that's about it. Hope I'm eating my words come Thursday afternoon. I'd love to see us really #OwnTheFuture and get some youth assets.

If we think Lawson is the missing piece to get our fast break and pick and roll offense in order -- particularly insofar as launching Giannis' offensive development to another level -- then yes I trade Ersan + 2016 top 10 protected pick + LAC pick for him.

What gets a bit trickier is if the Nuggest insist on John Henson. He is someone I could see especially benefiting from a real PG, but if we don't think he's a long term starting caliber center then I don't let him prevent a deal for a starter at PG. And this matters less if this trade (or another one) cuts enough cap room for us to give a serious offer to one of the many available free agent centers this summer.

Then of course there is the question of whether Denver would insist on Knight and / or if we are willing to give him up here.

Knight / Lawson / Middleton would make for a hell of a back court, though since Knight or Middleton would be coming off the bench after Parker gets back I'd weigh that when considering including Knight in the deal as well as what we extend them for.

If we do trade for Lawson, I kind of want to trade Knight. Yes he's good off the ball, but I just don't like having such a small backcourt and I'm not about to pay Knight big money to come off the bench. If you trade for Lawson, they should have another deal lined up for Knight. Just my two cents. Don't want a Jennings/Ellis 2.0 experiment again. Need length and height.

I find it ironic the team that could really use Dudley more than anyone else imo is the team that gave us a 1st to take him.

If Chandler nets a late 1st and a 3mil expiring you gotta think Dudley can get basically the same. Dudley is less sexy than Chandler but pound for pound Id be surprised if anyone valued Chandler as more of a net positive than Dudley right now. Dudley has been a quality 3/D guy with a high bball IQ. Wilson Chandler is a knucklehead chucker that never met a shot he didn't like.

Portland is overpaying imo.

I really think you all need to move on from this notion that coming off a mediocre rookie year (though beginning to show promise) and a torn ACL that Parker is going to just "jump into the starting lineup".

Kidd had no issues sitting Giannis when people clammored for him to start, he waited until Giannis was ready. Why would he not do the same thing with Parker? Parker might get more national coverage, but Giannis is a global thing, other countries talk about him, not just our own. I think sitting Giannis was much more against "marketing" than having Parker earn his way back after a gruesome injury.

Granted it was a small sample, but Parker was considered the front-runner for ROY before he went down. How is that mediocre?

Bucks Are In The Mix

The Milwaukee Bucks have said repeatedly that they would not give away the future for a playoff run, but given that they are locked into a good situation in the East, they do appear to be willing to deal in order to solidify what they have now and going forward.

The Bucks are one of the teams being linked to Denver’s Ty Lawson. They have also been linked to Chicago’s Taj Gibson, although it may take a lot more to land either of them than Milwaukee has to part with.

The Bucks are trying to buyout big man Larry Sanders, who is going through a tough stretch of personal issues that may sideline him for a while. If the Bucks can open up a roster spot or two they’d be in a position to catch some of the smaller pieces floating around the marketplace.

The two names that get mentioned the most as trade chips for the Bucks are swing man O.J. Mayo and forward Ersan Ilyasova. Both players are valued by the Bucks, so neither is being given away, but both could be the chips that bring real change.

The Bucks are not in desperation mode as they have been over the last few deadlines, but they do seem to be open for business.

Jimmer was a top ten pick.

OT a bit, but how weird would it be for a guy like Jimmer who dominated then get to league and realize that he's merely decent at basketball?

Every paragraph of this piece seems like a little more polished BS that you might see from certain posters here. I mean just read that first paragraph. Nonsense. Without clicking the link, I'm almost willing to bet Kyler wrote this piece.

I'm not sure how to take this. If we would be pursuing guys like Lawson and Gibson, the whole notion of building organically and patiently is out the window. However, we would be trading for actual pieces and not scrubs that we deem as good players like we usually do. I'm one board for either player but not at the cost of future assets like Parker, Giannis and draft choices.
