A Wall-Beal-Dragic rotation would seem good -- especially if Beal makes The Leap next season. That'd be damn formidable. The challenge, of course, would be satisfying Dragic's salary demands. But, in any possible deal, the Wiz would be acquiring his Bird rights as well, so they'd be able to use him in a sign-and-trade next summer.
Dragic is good. He'll work well anywhere.
Given the likely acquisition costs, I think I'd rather have Thomas than Dragic. Dragic's value resets to market next year, while Thomas is likley to become more valuable as time passes, his salary decreases, and the cap grows.
I also think Thomas is more likely to accept the 3rd guard role, whereas Dragic seems pretty interested in being The Man.
I would have zero trouble in dealing Seraphin to get a buy like Thomas. While Seraphin is our best "post scorer" (quotes are deliberate -- ebecause what does that even mean)off the bench, Thomas is a better offensive player. We'd get different shots with the second unit, but they'd be better shots.
Seraphin, Webster and our '16 first for Thomas and Plumlee would be a dandy deal for me. Sign a swingman with the open roster spot.
