I remember a time when this board was all about rebuilding by getting super high upside young guys who have star potential. Now they are all about guys like Khris Middleton and dislike most young players that haven't already turned into studs.

Not that I dislike Khris Middleton. I think he's going to be a great role player unless he stops playing hard after he gets his deal or something... but Exum has the ability to be something special.

And yeah, I realize that he isn't dominating the NBA as a 19 year old.

Hood is Middleton without D.

I would have said that about Middleton a month ago. Then I looked at his last ten games. Something like 16/5/3 with almost 3 steals per game on fabulous TS.

Small sample size and he's hot like Brandon Jennings would get. But right now he's looking every bit as good as Jimmy Butler, maybe better.

Khris Middleton is a nice piece. He's nowhere near Jimmy Butler's level.

It is kind of silly to play along with posters being insiders until they post something of actual substance that becomes substantiated.

Based on what exactly?

He shot .286 from 3 this year with a .443 TS and he's only 14 months younger than Middleton, who is putting up .423/.574 currently with higher usage.

If we had Jimmy Butler I would probably trade him for Exum as well. Jimmy Butler would be on the wrong side of 30 by the time we would be contending for a title with guys like Giannis and Jabari.

Id rather someone post something they may or may not have heard than the 20 plus pages of people over reacting about it...some of you guys, jump off the cliff cause someone unplugged your mouse.

Hood's had a foot injury most of the season, which I assume would effect his shot.

Just curious as to why the Bucks did not talk to him about an extension earlier.

Based on his contract status I don't believe they were allowed to. Could be wrong though.

Correct. Contracts for fewer than 4 seasons cannot be extended

To be fair, Khris Middleton as a rookie was Khris Middleton today without D or the shot. Hood projects to be a good shooter.

It's not that his isn't dominating. It's that he looks atrocious for a starting guard right now. I mean, he's getting plenty of minutes. And he still sucks.

Giannis at least, we all saw ridiculous potential. Has Exum shown any of that potential in the NBA up to this point?

Are you a Jazz fan now all of the sudden?

i think exum is total fools gold. darko/vesely euro trash sucker draft bomb. i studied the kids hs games last summer and now watched him some this year. hes a nothing player. dealing for whatever his "upside" is with middleton would be terrible mistake imo.

then add that i wouldn't trade Henson for kanter straight up AND were the ones tossing in a #1 and this trade sucks balls for me. i hate it.

Thats the problem. Small sample size. We payed Larry based on less than a year of production. Can't base anything on 10 games. Before Parker got hurt Middleton hardly saw the court and when he did he looked bad as well.
