Sure this comment will start a lot of arguments, but Kanter=Middleton.

Neither is a player you can build around, neither is worthy of being 2nd best, not even sure either is good enough to be 3rd best on a title team. Each seems like a fit player, nothing more or less.

I'd rather sign Ricky Ledo

Ersan seems like a decent fit in Atlanta's system. Getting back Shelvin Mack & Mike Muscala works. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

Neither would be asked to be #1 or #2, so that's irrelevant. And Middleton is to me unquestionably a better #3 or #4 going forward.

Parker and Giannis are guys you build around. Guys like Middleton are who you build WITH.

Middleton's shot is elite now. When you can tell me what Kanter does that's elite, I'll be all ears.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Ersan used to play well against Stan Van in 2009. I wonder if he could be tricked into trading him for the expiring deals of Jonas Jerebko & Joel Anthony.

except Kanter can't play d and is a blackhole on offense

no Middleton does not = Kanter

Kanter is wishful thinking that he might one day be a useful player given his size and age, Middleton is young and already a useful 2 way player with an elite skill. What does Kanter do at an elite level?

Chuck, are you feeling all right? You just proposed a trade that brought back two American born players. Did you recently eat some spoiled karaask and sult?

Middleton is mega efficient, Kanter is middling efficient. Middleton is a good defender, Kanter is a bad defender. So no, they aren't the same.

So then keep the good 3+D fit and let them keep the 7' Kris Humphries.

Middleton shot at this rate for 45 games last year as well, then fell of quite a bit.

I do like Middleton, said that numerous times, but Kanter could become a 18-9 guy, and the paint is important.

Pay Middleton 10m to shoot, or pay Kanter 10m to rebound and score, I will pay the guy who gives me more than one thing. I do not believe this hype on Middleton on the defensive end personally, because I have faith that the system is what makes these guys look good, not their individual talents.

Ersan for Joel Anthony, Gigi Datome also works.

18 and 9 is meaningless if it is done inefficiently, selfishly, and with no defense. Empty stats.

He's been slightly under 42% from 3 for 130 games and 439 attempts.
