Trade or no trade I reckon we'll get another 100 pages post deadline with angry reaction. Looking forward to it.

Re: Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 24 hours)
For the record, I've been watching a bunch of Kanter today and he isn't someone I'd be excited to add. Everything he does on the offensive end is centered around how he can get the ball in his hands and put up a shot. When you're conditioned to play the game that way it's a hard habit to break.

Hammond has fared okay in trades... I feel like he's won more than he's lost?
I may be overlooking an obvious blunder, but Hammond's biggest mistakes to me are as follows:
1) Passing on Curry in favor of Ellis
2) Passing on drafting Klay Thompson in order to add S-Jax
3) Trading Tobias Harris for 28 games of the Redick era
4) Signing Drew Gooden to a contract everyone knew was ridiculous the moment it was announced
5) Trading for Corey Maggette
6) Signing John Salmons to a contract everyone knew was ridiculous the moment it was announced
Oh, crap, they just keep coming.
The overarching theme to all of these transactions was reaching for perceived immediate reward. Are we willing to assume Kohl played a major role in all of these?

I can't believe how long Hammond has been around. Remember he traded for RJ in his first offseason. That seems so **** long ago.

To be fair you won't see much else watching highlights.

The more I look at Kanter the worse he looks:
-Averages Less than 1 Block/Game which is really bad for a Center (including an Awful 0.4 / 36 MIns this year)
-Averages Less than 1 Assist/Game (don't expect much ball movement from him)
-Shoots under 50% (very bad for a C)

Yeah, he's a scorer/rebounder who doesn't do a whole lot else. But scoring and rebounding numbers are what Joe Fan looks at more than anything else - and seems to be what NBA GMs look at most when free agents are available. Henson's PER has actually been higher than Kanter's, and he's been a more efficient scorer and better defender. If Henson's no better than a good backup, then Kanter is probably something less than that.

Ty Lawson with an unexcused absence at practice today. Like I said, I do not want this clown.

Kanter's a taller Kris Humphries.

So when Kanter comes here, efficiently scores 18 ppg, grabs 10rpg, and plays within the system, how will you guys be reacting then?
My personal goal, find any way possible to cut another 7-8m off our cap for next season, and just offer Kanter a deal, but if we really want him, not going to hate the Bucks for the trade they decide to make, that is just foolish. Trust is key gentlemen, trust is key.

It seems that not only Reggie over values himself. I'm expecting OKC softens significantly in the next 24 hours. Not being linked is nice though when the price is high.

Re: Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 24 hours)
Can we trade Mayo for Bennett to have the chunkiest tweener combo in the NBA? There'd have to be a good marketing strategy for Piggly Wiggly with those two.

Re: Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 24 hours)
No question that Kanter needs to correct some things in his game. That said, I think he is in a bad situation in Utah. He just isn't being used right. They have clearly tried to make him a stretch 4 and he just isn't. His FG% is off because they have him stretching the floor and taking long jumpers at times.
He needs to pass more but I think that can be learned. Kidd and Zaza would be great teachers in that area.
He isn't a finished product and he has holes in his game. That is why he is available. IMO it is worth the risk of Henson/LAC 1st but nothing more.

What is the likelihood a deal for Kanter is made if you had to put a % on it right now?

If Kantner had a couple years left on his deal, it would be easier for me to accept trading for him- maybe we could get him to break certain habits, etc.
As is, I just don't get it.

Yup. Maybe this is his way to demand a trade? Maybe something happened and it is a legit reason to miss (doubtful but possible there was an accident or something).
