I'll roll with Knight or Lawson before paying Dragic that. I'll be happy with our trade deadline if 1) we deal Ersan for an expiring or exception, 2) pick up someone like Taj without giving up too much, or 3) grab Lawson in exchange for one of our 1sts and Ersan. 4) I don't mind if we pull no trades, since we already did a bit to relieve ourselves of Sanders.

I take Knight at 4/60 over that contract.

We talk about Dragic's contract, but I think Knight's is going to be ugly as hell as well.

LED disagree. Kidd, Dudley, Giannis, Jabari all provide more reasons to stay. Put Dragic on the floor in Jason's system, with ex-team mate Duds and Giannis, then let him speculate about playing with Jabari, oh and there's Middleton. But as long as he's the PG, getting a decent amount playing for a team the league knows to be on the come up, why would he turn down them down?

Doubt it, market will set his price, and aside from NY and LA, the market just is not there.

Think Knight's situation will play out like Teagues situation a few years ago. Prorate the cap 16m dollars higher overall and Knight should get 4/44 and I feel that is complete fair for both sides.

I wouldn't pay Knight 4/60 under any scenario.

Dragic came out publicly and said there is three teams he will play for, that is it.

Doubt it. Only takes one team and Kemba Walker, who is for sure worse, just got $12M per. $12M per is the floor on what Knight gets offered, IMO.

Anyways, Luke lets not turn this into yet another Knight debate.

As of now, not sure the Bucks make any of the talked about offers, but think something small and out of left field can happen. Seems more likely at this point we make no moves, but you never know.

I wouldn't be happy if we stand pat. We got rid of sanders, now we can try and fill that position with a solid big to rebound and we could def upgrade somewhere in the point position.

AND if we don't make a trade, who fills that spot??? Gutierrez

We can do that next year. If the solution doesn't present itself this trade deadline, there is no reason to force it. I don't think Kanter is the answer, and Gibson is ok, but I'd rather see a large rebounding center that doesn't demand the ball and can play some defense…someone like Ben Wallace or Denis Rodman (obviously doesn't have to be as good) who isn't a focal point, but can do the dirty work would be what I'd like to see. Sanders wasn't even that guy, when it came down to it in terms of the rebounding.

For those criticizing Dragic, keep in mind they f*cked with Bledsoe all off season playing hard ball. They signed another PG tying up 20M between Bledsoe and IT. They drafted a PG. They have Dragic playing half his minutes as a SG.

I don't think wanting out of that situation is a character flaw. PHX management could not be sending more signals that they don't want him as their PG. Coming out in a presser saying we hope to resign him, doesn't make up for all the crap above.

Not saying I want him, but would be interesting seeing him in a line up with him and Knight together. Would also be interesting seeing him with Middleton. Would be a major upgrade, I'm not that worried about that age, just the cost. The numbers getting thrown out are crazy (and might be perfectly reasonable at the same time)

That's impossible. Dragic making 24 mil at age 33 is nowhere near as ridiculous as any contract Knight signs this off season.

I didn't say as ugly, I said ugly. I mean, $15M per for Knight would be terrible, and it could easily happen.

Anything over $10 mil for Knight is ugly so it will be ugly by default.

Knight is a quality #3 guy, these types of players usually get around 18% of the cap, so Knight would get around 12.42 if the market is there for him (69*.18=12.42). The premise all of you fear is that his contract will be negotiated as if there is a 90m cap, maybe we give a few mil more, but doubt it. FWIW 18% of 90m salary cap is 16.2m so anything under that is a bargain based on the new cap structure and his max is 15.25 based on the 2015-2016 cap.
