Good. This deal cancels out two guys I don't really want.

Lopez would be a nice complement to Adams/Ibaka for OKC.

Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 5 hours)

Post#6603 » by Nowak008 » Thu Feb 19, 2015 3:50 pm

Ersan our 2015 1st + clips pick + 2nd round pick for Stauskas and Thompson. The Kings are nutz right now...this is a prime opportunity to steal a top 10 pick from a loaded draft class.

Could you guys imagine how much youth and future 1s we would be losing today if Kohl was still the owner? Ultimate playoff push with our record.

I'm not trading two 1sts, including this years for Stauskas. We could easily land Tyus Jones this year and I'd take him 11/10 times over Stauskas.

Doesn't that become a bit of a log jam, or would they live with it through the playoffs, and deal with the rest this summer?

If the Kings are "nutz" right now, I wouldn't offer nearly that much for Stauskas.

Knight is a perfect 6th man, change of pace, scoring threat off the bench. Just because he has the most PPGz doesn't mean he's the #1 or #2 guy. Take away Middleton and Giannis and we're dreadful.

Knight was sure a quality #1 guy last season
Everyone should keep ripping Knight because he's a young guy, by all accounts a hard worker, Kidd has called him a leader, and he is steadily improving his game. Makes a lot of sense to pick him out of the crowd and hate on him.

oh yeah knights getting the 4 yr 65 mil mini max for sure.

apparently teams are lining up to pay dragic 20 mil per so expect crazy money everywhere.

Maybe I'm just bad luck or something. So far this year two guys I liked in sanders and dragic have **** over my two favorite teams. I have no issue with drgaic wanting a trade (and wasn't very comfortable paying him 20 mil) but to say hell only consider resigning with LA, NY, or Miami is a Melo level d-bag thing to do. Sports suck

he was 22 last season. who cares what he did then.... with what he, and we, are doing now. hes a huge part of our teams success including being the assassin down the stretch of games where weve put some really good teams out cold on this kids back.

but if you really feel this way... fine. just quit proposing trades of knight to contenders like houston who want him to maybe win a championship as their #2 or #3 scoring threat. it makes you look insincere in your attempt to discredit what he may be capable of after his rookie contract is up

Knight is a quality #3 guy, these types of players usually get around 18% of the cap, so Knight would get around 12.42 if the market is there for him (69*.18=12.42). The premise all of you fear is that his contract will be negotiated as if there is a 90m cap, maybe we give a few mil more, but doubt it. FWIW 18% of 90m salary cap is 16.2m so anything under that is a bargain based on the new cap structure and his max is 15.25 based on the 2015-2016 cap.

Anything under $16.2MM is a bargain. Did I slip into a parallel universe at some point?

Middleton is already a better SG as Knight, therefore a better player. Giannis (from next season) and Jabari (in 2 seasons) will be better players too. If not, then forget about us being contenders. And we are talking about his paycheck. If you want to offer $15m per, in 2 years you will have your 4-5th best player in the team holding 1/6 of the cap. :nonono: And in a team where in the future you want the ball to roll and the shots coming from the positions 2-4 you need your playmaker to be exactly that. A maker of plays.

Calathes from Grizzlies is better suited for this role in Bucks. Btw why dont we try a trade for Calathes? :D Grizzlies need more depth in their bigs, right? Ersan for Calathes and a 1st?
No hay banda.

It's not realistic to explore trades for guys who are about enter RFA looking for a big contract? #2 or #3 scoring threat, you're absolutely right!

I'll propose as many trades as I like, especially on deadline day. Just because your favorite player is involved doesn't mean you need to get upset.

Nah, the problem with the Suns is your owner is Sarver. At the end of the day, he's going to meddle and screw things up.

The Suns needed to tank last year and end up with one of those top 7 guys like Gordon or Smart. Hornacek was just too good a coach and Bledsoe came on. The Suns then became one of those stuck in the middle teams.

I'm hoping the Bucks aren't repeating that right now.

I agree. Not a huge Lopez fan but this is a great fit.

Could make OKC very tough come playoff time.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Was there anyone on this team that was a quality anything last season? Amazing the difference a coach and a system makes.

Things are starting to wind down w/4 hours left.

Would think we'd see some Woj bombs on actual deals in the next 90 minutes if anything is going to happen.
