We're really screwed. Even the Celtics fans are helping us. I don't know what to say.

"Thanks!"

For what it's worth I agree.

Goodwin is gonna form the 3 way Kentucky Wildcat rotation for us with Bledsoe and Knight.

I've loved Goodwin since we drafted him, I think he has star potential. Hopefully he gets his opportunity now that Goran & IT are gone.

He's a South Florida guy. If he gets his s it straight and plays again, I'm sure the Heat will be among the teams he considers.

Andrei Kirilenko has been waived by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Kirilenko came to the 76ers via trade from the Brooklyn Nets.

Andrei Kirilenko Released by 76ers: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

The Philadelphia 76ers waived veteran forward Andrei Kirilenko on Saturday, per the team's official Twitter account:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/Sixers/status/569255874876858369[/tweet]
Kirilenko has played in just seven games for the Brooklyn Nets during the 2014-15 NBA season, averaging just 5.1 minutes per contest in those appearances.

When he was traded to Philadelphia back in December, the 34-year-old didn't even report to the team, which led the Sixers to suspend him. CSNPhilly.com's John Gonzalez described the circumstances surrounding Kirilenko's release:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/gonzoCSN/status/569256785674022912[/tweet]
ESPN's Marc Stein suggests Kirilenko will be able to find work in the NBA if he wants to:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/569259926633054208[/tweet]
It's hard to blame Kirilenko for not wanting to show up for a team that is in the midst of a lengthy rebuilding project. Now that he has the freedom to explore all his options, perhaps Kirilenko can serve in some capacity for a contender looking to add versatility to its rotation.

But based on his essentially nonexistent time in Philly and his diminished role in Brooklyn, Kirilenko will likely be hard pressed to find a huge part in the Association for the rest of the season and beyond.

i actually wouldn't mind just for this 2nd half playoff push. could it hurt?
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Pistons' Tayshaun Prince wants a buyout, Stan Van Gundy says no

The Detroit Pistons brought back forward Tayshaun Prince at the trade deadline, sending Jonas Jerebko and Gigi Datome to the Boston Celtics. Prince evidently was not thrilled about the deal -- he wanted a buyout so he could join a contender -- but Pistons president and head coach Stan Van Gundy expects him to show up and play. From mlive.com's Brendan Savage:

"The reason Boston made the trade is to save money," said Van Gundy, the Pistons coach and team president. "We're paying Tayshaun more money. If he was going to get bought out, he should have done it in Boston. They should let him be bought out. That's not on me to buy him out. That's not part of the deal.

"We weren't told of this until after we made the trade by Tayshaun's agent. Why would we trade guys who are making less money to take on more money to waive him? That would have been the dumbest personnel move ever.

"It's not on us."

Van Gundy was asked if the Pistons should give a veteran like Prince, who doesn't fit in their long-term plans, the chance to play for another championship.

"I understand he didn't get what he wanted but the question you're asking should be asked of (Celtics president) Danny Ainge, not of us," Van Gundy said. "We didn't break any agreement with him. There's no reason for us to buy him out. They could have bought him out if that's what they wanted to do.

"We wouldn't have traded for a guy to take on an additional $1.2 million ... to waive the guy. Why would we do that? And then we'd still need another guy at that position. If that were the case, we would have kept the guys we traded out and Boston could have waived him."

We don't know whether or not the Celtics had told Prince they'd buy him out. It looks like they made a smart basketball move, though, in acquiring Jerebko and Datome. As for Detroit, you can question why it would choose Prince over Jerebko but you can't expect a buyout now. As Van Gundy explained, that would make no sense. Especially given that the Pistons gave up small forward Kyle Singler in the Reggie Jackson deal.

Prince should be in uniform when Detroit faces the Washington Wizards at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. Van Gundy doesn't expect him to play in that game, but he should be in the lineup soon. The Pistons' next game is Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Detroit is 22-33 on the season, a game back of the eighth spot in the East.

Always liked AK47 and think he still has enough to be a decent part of an NBA team.

If Bosh was here I think he'd be a great pick up and be willing to play. Without bosh I don't see that he'd choose us over a strong contender.

We didn't signs Robinson, Nets signed him. Can't believe we just let a former 5th pick, at only 23 years old who's not a chucker, super athletic and averages 13 boards per 36 just sign for the min for another team when we are desperately lacking a power forward to play out the season. spo better not have convinced Riley that Luol Deng is better as a power forward.

We can only sign a player for $1 million or else we go in to repeaters tax. I think $1.4 is the vet minimum. He probably was offered more money in BKN if he plays well for these 10 days. We didn't "let" him get away. He decided where to go. Don't lose perspective.

King David, the veteran's minimum is prorated. No way it goes to a million until the end of the year.

Robinson was over $3M if we claimed him off waivers from the 76ers. That would have put us in the luxury tax. We have to sign someone for veterans minimum. We're not using the DPE this year.
