Statistically they are pretty similar too, per36 both average around 11ppg and a block a game. Thompson averages 4.7orb vs TRob's 3orb but overall, TRob is a better rebounder per36.
I look at this potential signing like this though, Thompson is looking for a max deal which I don't think he'll get but he'll still be paid handsomely whereas we may be able to lock up TRob for significantly less. For players who are only 4 days apart in age, similar physically and average roughly the same stats, I think we could get away with a bargain here.

depending on the length and team option year....
The Morris and Robinson should be put on a short leash though... as precaution. I'm worried they'll command/dominate the locker room.

I don't think our FO is prepared to do anything more than a 3 year deal and probably dollars along the lines of Marcus' contract.

Went to look for some Thomas Robinson highlights. This seems like exactly the kind of guy that we need. I know this was career game for him, an outlier for sure, but he hustles, he runs the floor, plays with size and isn't afraid to make bold defensive plays. Also seems like he's going to take advantage of every opportunity he gets.
Sign him, McD!

He has been waived and he has been in the NBA with 3 teams in three years. He will sign for the minimun, not more than that. He can be out of the league very soon, our offer can be 2 years with the second one like a team option.

At least you mentioned it was an outlier. The guy backed up the twins in college, and has been cut by multiple teams now, so I don't know how I feel about committing dollars to him for multiple years, but if it isn't much money, I guess I don't care, as long as it doesn't somehow squeeze Warren out of the rotation since Marcus will probably get more minutes at the 3 instead of 4 if TRob gets minutes at the 4.
