People really need to let go of this line of thinking. It was already reports a couple weeks back that Taj's ankle WILL NOT heal fully during the season and will ONLY HEAL AFTER the season ends. His ankle will never be 100% all season but they take all the precaution they can and help him stabilize it as best as possible for him to play on it. Again, he will not be 100% ever and it has nothing to do with Mirotic.
I realize people love to make up conspiracies, but it is never correct ever.
Help me understand how his ankle will heal in the offseason by not playing, but during the season if he doesn't play it will not heal.
This I am not sure of since I am not an orthopedic physician. This was something he mentioned during one of his interviews a few weeks ago. This and his thumb injury. Whatever orthopedic physician the Bulls have/associated with (and I'm sure he has gotten multiple opinions) told him that and thus thibs/Gibson never let it out publicly until then. It may be something that would take months to heal fully (kind of like what happened to Noah in the CHI/PHI playoff series a few years ago where Noah never fully recovered from that ankle throughout the off-season and only recovered some time after the off-season ended hence couldn't participate in the FIBA or olympics or something like that) yet surgery isn't required or anything.
