I don't think this is true at all. I think Nene is fine being a 2nd or 3rd option role player. He never strikes me as a guy who is focused on getting his own shots. He loves to pass and he seems genuinely happy when other players get involved.
My only issue with Nene is his apparent insistence on playing exclusively PF. I'd really like to see Gortat at C for 33 minutes a game and Nene at C for the other 15 minutes. Nene can play another 13 or so minutes at PF alongside Gortat. The rest of the PF minutes go to Humphries and Pierce.
All part of the same problem I am describing.
But you can believe you have 180 different view if you want.
We agree on Nene needs to be used at center and for me that means off the bench. I guess they could start together but Nene would need to come out early. And Gortat should be the center most games down the stretch.
