I will take that a step further. Rose's best days are definitely behind him. A guy who plays his style of basketball isn;t going to get better after 3 knee surgeries and 4 years of aging.
That doesn't mean he can't still end up being a very good player.
I will even go so far as to say I don't see him ever playing in the all-star game again unless it is purely out of name recognition. There are multiple great PG's in the East now, and the Bulls roster is so much different. Rose isn't ever going to be the only major scorer again, which is what got him the MVP nods and some of his reputation.

Rose is going to have to adjust his game a good bit to be a positive on the court. He needs to fall out of love with the 3's and be more focused about facilitating.
That doesn't mean he can't end up being a very good player. In fact, if he makes that adjustment, with the other talent and scoring the Bulls have added, he could be a very good PG on a tean that contends for a championship season after season.
I don't pay him more than 10-15 mil a season unless something really fantastic happens over the next two seasons and everything I just said above ends up being proven wrong. And he should be willing tos ign for that. He has been the most overpaid person in the world in any field of work for the past few seasons. He is from chicago. If there was ever a guy who should play for a discount for the Bulls it is Drose. I could see 3 years/45 mil. If he is relatively injury free and plays well he can then get another payday. I expect though that he will insist on 4 or 5 in order to give the discount.
