Yes he takes some dumb shots but he is put on an island and at age 33, he goes to what he has always tried to do; long jumper. The issue isn't Wade, its the fact that we keep asking a 33 yr old SG to go ISO all 4th qt and bring it home. As of late, Goran has had a few good late games...Guess what? Teams are double and 3 teaming Wade because they know its Wade or bust on offense. Today late in the game we ran a few great SETS where the team was moving. The ball was moving. It resulted in a Deng jumper and a few Goran layups. Thats BASKETBALL, not the crap we run 99% of the time. If we ran a good system, we wouldn't be wondering if we were making the playoffs, we woudl be wondering who we would be playing. It pathetic that were in this position. Even with injury's this team HAS ENOUGH but were not getting everything out of the talent we have, we are just hoping that Wade has enough left, which is why were 9th. Every game matter and Detriot game is the perfect example of why, we struggle and why I can't get over how bad this team has been lead this year.
At 32.5% Wade has the 2nd highest usage percentage in the league. He's 2nd only to Westbrook… scary stuff. We've been riding him hard all year. When he's on he's a hero like the Portland game and when he's not suddenly he's playing too much hero ball according to people.
this is why i'd much rather us shut down players. I'd much rather Wade be 100% nxt season than be 90% out there w/ risk of worsening or even ending his season w/ an injury. But if he is choosing to fight then i support that fighting spirit.
In regards to hero ball.....i think we have a right to critic the last couple of games simply because he is playing hurt out there for the most part. Down 1 and resorts to a 3? to me that's indicative of the fact he had no legs to even attempt a drive as he is playing not 100% out there - so that wasn't only hero ball but it was stupidity. I love Wade and his hero ball man but that was something else all together.

the draft pick is an asset, either use it on a young player. who knows we might get our own Kawhi Leonard? not saying there's that caliber player who could be available at 9-10, but you never know. the fact is the Spurs have been able to stay afloat because they've infused young exciting talented players to their core. and we should do the same. even if you don't see a player you like in the draft, you can always trade it for someone.
especially since we don't have any picks for the next billion years lmao
I'd rather that than making the playoffs, or hell, trying to make the playoffs, not make it, but not be bad enough to keep our pick. it's just the smart thing to do at this point... TANK
then we blow this **** league up next year with Bosh and McBob back

I'm not sure why people think some are saying they'd rather tank than make the playoffs, that's not the case. Heat's destiny are basically in other team's hands and Indiana will definitely make the playoffs, (we a blew 3 obtainable games that would have almost secured our spot at 7th). That leaves Boston/Brooklyn who are on a roll.
Basically some of you are saying make all the effort to make the playoffs to ultimately miss out on it and their pick because that is what will happen. I'm saying since Heat are very unlikely to make the playoffs then they might as well obtain their pick, get everyone healthy and be contenders next season.

As GameTime_3 stated we're putting the 33 year old Dwyane Wade on an Island, begging him to save us most nights. The whole taking a 3 rather than driving is not new. He's done that all through his career. I remember game 3 vs Boston during the 09-10 season. The score was tied, Wade ran down the shot clock and took a contested 3 from the top of the arc he ended up missing the shot. He was suffering from terrible back spasms and it was all that he could get. He ended up having to sit the final possession and well Paul Pierce his a midrange Jumpshot for the win.

Nets Pacers take the last 2 spots in my book.
