You can be mad about Biz or Cody getting benched. I'm not interested in arguing about that. I'm just pointing out that he's getting minutes by default.

Frame Clifford as irrational if you want to. I'm not trying to defend him when I talk about Maxiell. All I'm saying is that there is a void and Maxiell is filling it.

You insult our intelligence by telling us why Maxiell is currently receiving playing time. We understand that reasoning, but virtually all of us disagree with Maxiell getting minutes down the stretch of games when the game is most critical instead of Biyombo. Maxiell isn't producing any kind of production while being efficient but he's being awarded extended minutes for no apparent reason

He has played down the stretch of a fourth quarter in just one of the four games we've played without Al. He's played more minutes than Biz in just one of the four games we've played without Al.

You would think he was getting starters minute by the way you are talking about him.

There's no reasonable explanation with logic for why Maxiell played more minutes than Biyombo in one game, nor played down the stretch of the other game, and that's what I'm discussing so don't act as if I'm blowing things out of proportion & making up faux stories

Jeff Adrien, Jermaine O'Neal, and Samuel Dalembert would all be wayyy better than Maxiell. Jeff even has a history with the team so there is no reason we should think he wouldn't want to sign with us.

Max has averaged 16.3 minutes per game in his last 16 games (was a DNP-CD in two games in between those 16). If he retires or doesn't manage to find a team for the next season, it will really be a year for the ages. Is there another 280-pounder on an unguaranteed contract who found himself minutes like this? Whilst playing for a team that contended for the playoffs?

Nothing against the guy, but he should have acquired Nazr Mohammed type of total minutes, not play eight times more than Nazr.

Tried to look for such cases on bk-ref and apparently Maxiell's season has broken the search engine

Link seems to working now. Hamilton and Fish. Makes sense. Both were also guards.

I fully expect us to re-sign Maxiell this summer like we did Pargo for 2 years straight as the veteran ambassador.

As long as next year Maxiell plays as much as Pargo did this season, fine.

Plenty other players did that though. I can think of a few off the top of my head- MJ being one of them. I'm sure Wilt and countless other stars did too. 800 minutes is like 10mpg for 80 games or 15mpg for 60 games or 20mpg for 40 games. Rip and D-Fish aren't the only players to do that

I'd love us to resign Maxiell. Guy gave us good minutes and played his ass off. Do I want Vonleh to play over him? Uh, yeah. Doesn't mean he can't be a leader and a 12th man off the bench

I do not want him back if it's ever going to come at the expense of any of our bigs. Is Clifford going to use him as the 15th man and an extension of the coaching staff? Then sure, bring him back Pargo style. Maxiell gives us squat on the floor. Pretty sure a 40-year-old Bismack would be able to give us more.

I completely disagree that he gave us squat on the floor. Sign him in a Pargo role, but he can contribute 10 minutes or so a game.
