How about the fact he's not very good at creating his own shot, at all, and we don't really have anyone who is great at creating shots for others?

Good call, he definitely hasn't shown the ability to create offense for others off the dribble. That said from what games I did watch of Kentucky this year he seemed pretty capable of creating separation to get his shot off and he's fantastic at getting open off the ball. His Dad played point and he played that position in HS, but from what I've read he's never been effective at creating offense for his teammates. If we draft him that's the number one thing we need to work on with him.
He played for Kentucky. There were literally 4 other 1st rounders on the court with him at any given moment. And he didn't stand out over any of them. That's why I don't think he's worth looking at in the top 10.
I mean, yeah, he can get separation - but who couldn't on that stacked team? Who are you going to cheat off on when you play Kentucky? The guy can barely put the ball on the floor as is, he won't be creating for anyone in the NBA any time soon. I like him, but not stand-pat at #9 and draft him when he'll be around 11-15 most likely. And I say this as the guy who was talking about Booker here long before it was fashionable.
He COULD be good. He could also be Courtney Alexander if he doesn't see his potential explode in any area. He has a good release, he finishes soft though. He's strong, he doesn't understand NBA level off-ball movement though. He's strong and could possibly have an elite frame underneath all the baby fat, can't handle the ball any better than Oubre.
I don't really get excited when players say that they like other players either. I mean its cool but it rarely has anything to do with a successful on-court product.

I actually think Booker would play decent minutes if we got him, 15-20mpg. I think Johnson or Hezonja would play around those minutes too.
man no. PJ couldn't see the court when Gary Neal was shooting in the wrong direction. I don't like any SG in this draft over PJ either tbqh.
dude had some of the most inconsistent minutes on the entire roster and people were surprised when he played inconsistent to match
you can't do that to established vet shooters in the league, of course a rookie was gonna play like trash in those circumstances
