For such comments, we're definitely not doing any Dunleavy for Roberson deals.

Oooh, ooh, I study forsci!!!
Really? Where at? Went to Penn State for it myself, forensic molecular bio. Had some really fun classes, they have 2 cottages that were set up as crime scenes on campus, they were at one point in the 1800s/early 1900s professor's houses. Now they put fake crime scenes in them (sheep's blood gets ordered in). Did one w/ shot up cars from the junkyard, another in the woods. Good times.
Audited some courses at U of T Mississauga some years back. Working towards FoSci now via correspondence/online. We did the maggot farm in class, and I have sme crime scene training from security, medic and firefighting work. It's fascinating, so I do a lot of self-study... And a lot of bitching st my favorite procedural shows, lol.

It really is a fun field to be in and study. I wanted to do casework but my first job was database stuff, ended up accessioning samples for 2 years and just needed to get back into a lab somewhere, so I left. I think now I'm out and just got used to regular lab jobs again.

People paint this perception of Thibs as some basketball freak that puts his entire energy into the game. If that is the case, I don't see why he wouldn't take an assistant gig simply because I don't know what he would do with himself.
Who knows, though. He may just collecting the Bulls coin whilst chilling, but I would be surprised.

Thibs may love basketball but I am sure he loves free $9 mil more while he gets to chill for a year.

He gets his money regardless. For any other normal person, I would agree with this sentiment, but from what we know about Thibodeau and his personality, the guy is all hoops.
Maybe he sits out a year, but that would be weird to me. This is after all the man who broke up his relationship with his fiancé because he had no time for both a woman and coaching.

Prospective medical student here. No formal Physics background except Gen Physics 1&2 at university. I have a general science background, but Chemistry (mostly organic and biochem) and Psychology (cognitive and research side) are my areas of study.
I've always been super into science generally, and physics specifically. My godfather is one of the most decorated trauma surgeons in the U.S. military, and he was away most of the time but he took a definite interest in stuffing my brain. He sent me one of Brian Greene's books before I had even graduated middle school, and turned me onto a lot of science media and stuff like that. So most of what I know is second-hand knowledge I guess, but next on my reading list is one of Leonard Susskind's books, which is supposed to be a pretty technical and math-heavy tutorial, so I think that will be good. It' a hobby, I guess.
The idea of pursuing an advanced science degree has crossed my mind, but I think I like more applied problems and I have that unfortunate "I want to help people" gene. So yeah, Dr Spaceman will be an actual M.D. (hopefully!) sometime in the future.
