I don't see this so called potential with him. I see a bigger poor mans Rondo...now.

Mudiay was the #1 HS prospect before the CBA

I'll throw the remote if the Knicks take Winslow. My NY board is as follows: 1. Towns 2. Russell 3. Okafor 4. Mudiay 5. Hezonja 6. Winslow 7. Kaminsky 8. WCS 9. Porzingis 10. Johnson

Winslow at 6 is fine, but imo Mudiay and Hezonja are much better choices than him. Towns and Russell are can't miss HR's, you can not discount Okafor's ability. One thing to note is that I have Frank The Tank up relatively high. I see him as a match-up nightmare in the league. He has a major skill set at 7-1 and is not tissue paper soft.

the more I watched him, the more I just dont understand why people are so high on him. He has so little star potential relative to okafor, towns, russell, mudiay, porzingis.

It's not about star potential, buddy. It's about helping us win basketball games.

Melo is the new Starbury? Remember when folks used to blame Marbury for everything and not just bad things that happen specifically for the Knicks?

The Knicks have $27-30 million to find role players that can help win basketball games.

This is why many of us "overreacted" to getting the 4th pick...the uncertainty of the selection...getting #4 was as bad, if not worse, than getting the 5th. At least with #5, we can justify a WCS/Winslow/Porzingis selection. Any time we leave the Knicks in a position to "hopefully" not **** it up...they usually will.

Come on if you trust your GM you still want to pick as high as possible.

I give up.

You guys just don't want a warrior in NY it's unbelievable. So much energy and heart and you mofos want freaking Porzingis over him. UNBELIEVABLE!

Drafting in the top 5 is always about star potential

At 4th overall with the lack of any semblance of top flight talent or potential on this team (besides a 30 year old Carmelo Anthony)? No, I don't want a warrior role player. I can probably package Tim Hardaway and some portion of $3 million to buy a pick later in the draft and take Montrezl Harrel if I want a guy that I can dress up as a warrior of a role player.

at the end of the day none of us are in the gym working these guys out. We are simply going off of what we have seen and our personal preferences.

I would pick Mudiay based off of upside but for example what if he absolutely tanks his workout for us? And Winslow kills it. I'm just curious, we aren't seeing any this first hand so really no one knows.

Mudiay workouts are starting soon. He's a Laker fan? Hopefully he can do something to convince them to pick him and we end up with a big.
