How is that not possible? Not like anyone not a scout that has been to their games has enough info to know the real gap between the 2. From what I've seen on the scouting vids I can see why a team would pick either over the other. 2 totally different prospects with the same general concerns.

Is he really 5 spots better than Hezonja? Really?

You're overthinking it. Henzonja isn't competing against him. There are 2-3 other wings in that tier of players. Considering the teams from 3-8 it makes a lot of sense and Porzingis was considered a top 5 prospect long before Hezonja was.

Also considering Euro players have a higher risk of being bust due to troubling adapting to a more physical game and style they'd like to have one that doesn't have documented attitude issues and thinks he's Kobe Bryant

Hezonja has attitude issues? Didn't know that being a good teammate keeping your mouth shut when being benched is attitude issues. He's confident that's borderline cocky. And he has talent to be so. I rate him as number two prospect in the draft behind KAT.

I had read earlier in the year that if he were coming out of college, he'd be in the debate for #1. This is why scouting is a thing, because they're not making these calls based on youtube highlights. His age and size alone make him worth the look.
EDIT, to be clear I'm talking about Porzingis.

Don't argue it with me, argue with the scouting reports. He could very well end up being the best player in the draft or he could be the next Rudy Fernandez. I think too often people overthink the draft and don't consider players have to develop in real life. Plus mock drafts try to consider the state of the team in some cases.

I'm just saying how it is. Am following him for 4 years since he's my countryman. I was also saying that Saric would end up being one of the best players in the draft. He's proving to be one of the fastest improving players in the draft. People were writing him off because of his wingspan and allegedly bad athleticism. Look at him now and a year ago when he lead Cibona to ABA championship with **** team.
Hezonja is also going to be a beast.

I don't really understand the hype for Hezonja . He looks like an NBA player to me, but he kind of just looks like another Gallo. Good player, but not great. The #1 talk is ridiculous. He wouldn't knock off Okafor or Towns whether he played here or not.

He looks like the SG version of Gallo to me too, who said #1 though?? I think Denver has assets to hit a home run in this draft. They can deal Lawson-Chandler-Faried for picks maybe combine Lawson+something something for Kings 6th pick and get great talent. Well back to us then
I'm in love with Tokoto and Justin Anderson. I hope we can at least get one of them with our late picks. Justin Anderson looks like a competitor and Tokoto's game is so smoove, once he gets at least a consistent mid range he could be an amazing role player. They are both have good to great length and athleticism, good defensive potential. One is more Ariza type(Anderson 3&D) one is more Iggy(Tokoto ball handling no shooting). Also one of Okafor/Towns is a really no brainer.

Ohh I see. Still it's weird that he gets hyped this much out of nowhere. He has some nice skills but he is so thin and his body shape doesn't look like he can fill it up. I mean I hope he works out for the team that drafts him and I think he can be a good player in this league, he doesn't look like a superstar potential not at all.

This was earlier in the season that I read about he would be considered a top pick if he played college in the US, so that was my point: it's not really out of nowhere.
I agree, he's narrow shouldered, rail thin, but he's 19. Also Kevin Durant is still skinny and one of the best. Curry too. If you can ball, you can ball. That said, I haven't seen enough of Porzingis to know if he can.

For those hyping Hezonja, check out Rudy Fernandez's Spanish league stuff around the time he got drafted.

We were lucky to get Randle last year at 7... It was a deep draft and his injury helped us get him. Clarkson is a rare talent that is thriving on his motor... Which is one of the hardest things to find in a Draft Prospect... Lack of desire and energy is the single biggest reason guys bust in the NBA... Clarkson has proven that he's not going that way... And from everything we've seen from Randle, he has that same desire/passion/commitment.
So to use your analogy... Don't sell $.75 for a quarter, to get a dollar.
the way i see it, clarkson's ceiling is a very good started quality player...randle's is blake griffen light...both of which are fringe all-star's at best
What worries me most is randels injury issues
The top 4 this year have superstar potential which is greater than both combined imo....therefore 4 quarters lol
i guess we are basically disagreeing on randle's value
I can't believe you went to the T&T board with that trade

Just admit you have a bias towards Henzoja instead of trying to act like the idea of Porz being rated higher is some absurd idea..

Bigger, faster, more athletic and a better shooter than Rudy. Rudy ain't bad either. He just wanted to be the man and that's not gonna work with a bunch of Americans in an American league.

Seriously, Kobe would love this guy. If LA manages to buy another Top 10 pick somehow and get this guy, LA will be just fine.

Porzingis plays no defense, is a bad rebounder and is lightweight. He is a shooter. A 7'1 shooter. Hezonja has NBA body, NBA athleticism, NBA range, plays hard on defense 60-70% of the time and lives basketball.
